I've always liked Haynes manuals
I've always liked Hanynes repair manuals. They don't try to stuff too many years or models in a single manual.I found this typical of Haynes automotive manuals. Pretty much everything a shade tree mechanic needs to know in order maintain and repair the covered vehicle, including specifications, in a simple and straightforward format.

Good book for do-it-yourselfers
Got this book because I wanted to do some more repairs on my 1990 Toyota Corolla. The book does have a lot of information on various repairs. Probably more than I'll ever use but that's a good thing. I wouldn't say that the instructions and illustrations give you detailed step by step instructions as you will need to evaluate your vehicle along with the instructions before starting work. (as you should do anyway). It will definitely get you started in the right direction. I would recommend this book if you are at all mechanically inclined.

Awesome Manual as always from Haynes
I've used this manual to change belts, oil, transmission fluid, a few too many alternators, and alternator brushes in my 91 Toyota Corolla. I have had other Haynes manuals and they are always awesome and explain everything in very fine detail.

OK, but...
US version doesn't cover the 2E (1275cc) engines sold in UK & Europe. Oil, coolant etc. capacities aren't given in real units(metric OR Imperial) either.

Get the real service manual if you can afford
Annoying how many models are covered so 2/3rds of the book dont apply to my vehicle
