I do not think you would use this outside, but for indoor soccer, you can keep a run DOWN time of 45 minutes or 90 minutes, not a run UP time, and you can keep score.

Can I use it outdoor?

Yes. You’ll need an extension cord though. It’s got a timer on it that’s good for track and field races. We always use ours for volleyball and basketball indoors.
