Titianium With Nichia 219C Is Tops!
I lost my Lumintop Tool AAA Titanium with a Nichia 219B LED. I am so glad MassDrop contracted with Lumintop to bring this wonderful flashlight back! I love the flat button electronic tail cap switch. The Nichia 219C also has such a nice tint. No green cast tint that makes skin tones look like Frankenstein. Excellent C.R.I. (Color Rendering Index). I also own the version with the Cree LED. While the Cree is a little brighter, it has way too much green tint. I leave it in the box and carry the more pleasant Nichia model instead!

Reliable, compact, tough
TLDR: reliable functionality, easily pocket-able, drop-tested, and very-well designed. The Drop AAA titanium flashlight is a good upgrade to the aluminum version and well worth the extra cost.I got the Titanium (Ti) Nichia version as an upgrade to my Drop-purchased AAA aluminum flashlight. The Ti version resists wear and tear really well and takes on a good patina too! The brass band on the rim of the flashlight looks very cool and adds a bit of color to the whole package. Additionally, the glow-in-the-dark o-ring was a nice touch and helps me find the flashlight. I also appreciate the low-battery function (which will keep the flashlight at the mid setting, it wasn't advertised for some reason) because I can anticipate a battery change. The flashlight really shines (pun intended) when coupled with rechargeable AAA batteries.Cons: I don't like the very stiff pocket clip which, I have heard, is very prone to snapping. While mine still works, I am very careful with it. To be honest, the Ti construction isn't as lightweight as I expected but it does handle wear and tear very well.Overall, the Ti version is a good upgrade to the aluminum version and it's fun to use and to just handle.

Nice small flashlight
The flashlight is quite good for how small it is, and its small size does do well for every day carry.Though it doesn't have a true memory mode, and you will have to turn it on and off to cycle between the modes. I did notice though that if you hold the button down for a couple of seconds when turning off the light it will seem to remember that mode that was used (though it is only for the next use and you will have to hold the button down again to save it).

Solid little Ti light. Quality machining! Neutral tint!
Titanium AAA for $40. Great price! Quality build. Excellent little 3 Mode Neutral. On off On to cycle through levels. NO 10440! Bright enough off of a regular AAA. I use enelope rechargeable.

Terrible light. Stopped working the first week.
The switch broke. The light will not turn off without removing the battery. The light was 4 days old. Sorry excuse for a flashlight. Amazon should boot these companies selling junk.

Should have just gotten the aluminum version with xpg2
This is an okay flashlight. The design looks nice, but that's about all of its strengths. I mainly got this light to putt around the house with at night; it works as such, but its not that great. I choose the nichia 219C version and its significantly dimmer than the other other aaa xpg2 light I own (thrunite ti3 to be specific). I understand that the brightness perception of warmer tint will be dimmer than cooler tints, but I didn't think it would be as noticeable in practice. So in retrospect I should have gotten the xpg2 version as the nichia 219c isn't very bright and doesn't really provide too great of color accuracy since the tint is so warm.Onto the function, the tail switch is absolutely deplorable, I hate it and wish they would have done a better job at $45. Its a loose and crunchy feeling button that doesn't have a stabilizer to keep it's action linear. Due to the lack of a stabilizer in the switch its prone to scraping and getting stuck against the sides of the cavity it sits in if you don't press the button exactly in the center. It sounds like it could be avoidable by just being more careful with the button press, but trust me, in practice its really annoying and its a marginal work around at best.In summary:- it looks and feels nice and makes a nice desk toy- (nichia 219C) lack luster output performance, way too warm of a tint (personal preference is neutral white 4500K~ 5000K)- Horrible tail switch that scrapes the inside cavity and is prone to getting stuck- Quality control is hit or miss, this is my second light as the first one I received the led flickered and the finish was splotchy- fits regular sized aaa as well as slightly longer aaa cells without issue- the blue anodization is pretty fragile and wears easily- simple low med hi on-off with no memory functionConclusion: I don't recommend this light. It's evident that this was made to be form over function and I don't think that it's $45 price is worth the looks alone. It's finish is fragile and comes new with imperfections in its anodization.

Pretty BUT ...
Bought as a gift because it is very pretty. BUT it is ...1. Too dim - even on brightest click **** (Hard to tell you're on brightest click.)2. Mode switching is unpredictable.3. Large for an AAA flashlight.4. Far too expensive for what you get.

Almost a copy of the lumintop tool aaa titanium
There are some difference in size and the pocket clip between the original lumintop aaa titanium and this one
