Like a Little Kid on Christmas
I needed a lamp that would work with my dad's eye conditions and give him enough light without any issues in terms of brightness and area covered/shadows. Preferably, we wanted a sturdy base and my dad wanted a lamp with a remote after doing some research of his own because it was "neat" (and anything to help make this user friendly for him I was all for).Order and Delivery process was fine and I was really shocked when I saw how it was packed and even thought for a second "that can't be right." My dad brushed me off and, well, it was right, because he had it assembled in no time. When he was testing the lamp? Y'all. You would have thought it was Christmas morning for him. He was just giddy - and I don't use that term lightly. He wouldn't stop talking about it or referring to it for the rest of the night. (=Long story short, this lamp completely lives up to its expectations and then some. It's super easy to move around but stays planted where you put it, very user friendly with a touch area to power the lamp, and using the remote just came naturally (but my dad also might have read about how to operate this or something; regardless it was easy to figure out and with a few minutes of exploring/practice, it will be like second nature, akin to how you operate your TV remote on autopilot). Definitely worth the money with how it met and exceeded our expectations. (And so far, there hasn't been a brightness setting that my dad didn't like that didn't irritate his eye/condition and its reach/coverage doesn't disappoint!)I don't normally do the whole review thing (which I need to change) but we were very satisfied with this lamp/purchase, so much so that my dad even recommended leaving a review so I knew it was a seriously good product!

Figuratively and literally flexible.
My apartment has low slanted walls and virtually no light in the corners, one of which is where my desk is located. Now that I'm a temporarily-indefinitely work-from-home teacher and need to record videos daily, I was in need of something to not only give me light to work at the desk but to record clear videos, and what drew me to this LED lamp over others is the preset lighting settings.I'm often wary of LED lamps. I'm an autistic adult with sensory issues and all the LED lamps I've tried up to this point have been too bright and cause sensory overload/headaches similar to flourescent lighting, or--if they have adjustable light temperature--too dim on lower settings to work by. I didn't expect this lamp to be much different, or to use it outside of working hours, but I'm pleasantly surprised. I did have to play around with the flexible neck of the lamp to find a configuration that provided enough light without being overwhelming, but once I found it, I was impressed by how unoffensive even the computer setting is--which is the one I have on while working at my desk.I love the presets because they save me so much frustration and effort trying to fiddle with the temperature and brightness, but having those temperature/brightness options make it so easy to adjust the presets to my needs. When I'm done working for the day and want to do personal tasks or play games, I turn the gaming preset on and it helps immensely with eye strain. The lamp is also ultra compact which is perfect for the small space that is my studio apartment. I really have no complaints, no buyer's remorse like I have with previous LED lamps, and am glad to have spent the money. I'm genuinely pleased and satisfied.

Great features overall! Could be 5-star with a few improvements.
This lamp suits all of my needs. It’s bright but it is definitely not going to light up a whole room. This isn’t a lamp you are going to point towards the ceiling to have it reflect across a room. It’s more of a spot light than anything. It is best used to light a specific surface area like a desk or work table. For this purpose it far exceeds harsh light bulbs. This kind of light won’t diffuse far. I think that has more to do with the type of glare resistant light source it uses not this product itself. I’ve had other lights of this type (not sure what they’re called) and they had similar limitations. Just be aware of what you’re purchasing.PROs:-I love that you can adjust the brightness and color temp! The controls on the pole of the actual light do take a little time to figure out but I rarely use it since the remote is so handy.-I really love that it has a remote! You can either manually set the brightness and color temp or use one of the preset buttons. I like most of the presets available on the remote (night/timer, work, reading, computer, gaming, breastfeeding, and full light which is the highest brightness and color temp)-The power cord is a great length.-I love the adjustable gooseneck feature.-The base is sturdy but also space saving.-I have yet to hook it up but I love that it is compatible with smart plugs and switches. This was actually a deal breaker for me and eliminated a lot of similar products by competitors. What would make this a 5 star product:-larger light source. It’s relatively small- slightly larger than the size of my palm.-the ability to customize the pre-set buttons on the remote. I like most of the options but there are one or two favorite settings that I have to manually find. Plus, the “gaming” and “breastfeeding” presets are practically identical.-as far as I can tell the only way to use the timer feature is by pressing the “night” button which is a preset brightness/color temp setting that shuts the light off after 1hr. There is no way to adjust the timer length or use it with other light settings.-it might just be a defect with mine but the “color temp” and “brightness” adjustment buttons are reversed on my remote. I.e., the button that should control the dimmer actually changes the color temp. I can adjust but it’s annoying.
