SanDisk ImageMate PRO USB-C Multi-Card Reader/Writer, works with SD and microSD cards (UHS-II, UHS-I, non-UHS) and CompactFlash cards

Using this with a SanDisk Extreme Pro 1 TB microSDXC card gave me a write speed of 100 MByte/sec and a Read speed of 140MB/s - 10 times quicker than my old Sandisk Reader. The reader feels solidly built, the SD Slots have a latch mechanism to stop accidental disconnects, and there's a nice "In use" Light on the top of the device - it's a nice palmable size, too. It's also very well priced for the build quality and speed. The only drawback is that it's not a true USB-C Device: On the back of the unit is a MicroUSB3 socket, and in the box a MicroUSB3 to USB-C Cable - MicroUSB3 is a bit of an unusual connector, so while they give you everything you need in the box, it limits the "Use Everywhere" appeal as you have to carry a rare-ish cable around with you. I'm using mine with a PIHEN USB 3.0 A to Micro B Cable (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B075M62PXB), as my photo rig has USB3, but not USB-C. Also have a PIHEN USB-C to Micro B Cable to use as a high quality travel cable (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07JDYDQH6)

I made a mistake buying the cheapest recommended card reader I could find. This one is a total game changer for me, plug and play so simple, it take 3 different sizes of card compact flash, sd cards, and micro sd. Soon as you open the box you can feel the quality no loose ports, no power loss and takes all the cards I will be using for a while, versatility is good and the design is thoughtful and smart. Although this item was nearly treble the price of my old card reader, there is a good reason, it’s treble the product.

USB 3.1 Gen1 is quick enough for the speed of SD cards I’m using, but I wanted to use a longer cable than the one supplied, as I want the device in a different location than within 250mm of the USB 3.1 ports at the rear of my PC. All the published info states that the connector is USB-C. It is USB-C on the supplied cable, but the port on the device is Micro-B. The supplied cable is fine if you’re connecting to a laptop or are happy with the card reader sat on top of your PC. But if you want something longer, pick your connector types well. Would Usb-C on the reader have been that much of a problem for SanDisk to change from the previous model?

I've also reviewed the CFexpress version which I purchased purely on the basis of having this one already. It is reliable, fast, and well made.

Great product - works straight out of the box.

Read a review on some clever computer type website and this came out the top of their list of "best SD card reader". I plugged in and lo and behold I can now view high quality videos straight from my SD card without waiting for it to buffer 10 seconds of video every 30 seconds. And copying from SD to PC is wow time. With my old card reader, it took about 4 hours to copy 24 gB. With this reader it took under 20 mins. I'm well impressed.

I've had cheaper card readers in the past and it is a false economy. Even the connector pins come loose and the device is dead. Ultimately Sandisk are worth every penny. Very happy with this purchase.

Having had a few very flimsy lightweight card readers that made me nervous every time I plugged a card in its nice to finally have one that securely seats the CF card, nice long travel to guide the card before it hits the connector ensuring a cleanly aligned contact. Speed is good but I suspect it'll be a lot better when I actually get a USB slot to plug it into

Ancak SD kartı bilgisayara taktığımda 25 MB/s civarlarında veri aktarıyordu. Bu ürünü alıp mikro SD kısmına takıp denediğimde 170 MB/s okuma ve 139 MB/s yazma hızlarına ulaştı. Okuma yazma hızı test programıyla test ettiğimde 177 MB/s okuma ve 142 MB/s yazma hızı gösterdi. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.

De las mejores compras que he realizado de algún elemento relacionado con la fotografía. Conectado a un puerto USB-C, da una velocidad de transferencia -con tarjetas profesionales- de más de 200 mb/s, lo que me permite transferir grandes cantidades de datos en muy pocos minutos. Altamente recomendable para cualquier fotógrafo y/o videografo profesional.

This is a good card reader and a very reliable one. The advantage is that it come with a Micro B cable on the card-reader end for Data + Power supply, which is usually used for portable hard drives and USB-C on the device end such at Mac Pc. And I can actually use my portable hard drives Micro B to USB 3.0 for Windows pc. The card reader is heavy which is on a good side because its a durable and sturdy built.

Tiene una construcción muy buena, es un dispositivo de calidad y cumple muy bien su función, por decir un comentario, el cable es un poco rígido y puede ser un poco estorboso en espacios pequeños al no doblarse fácilmente, pero no es algo por lo cual no sea bueno.
