15856 Container, 64-Ounce, Clear

I own a Vitamix Super 5000 that I purchased in 2007. The container blade/bearing stopped working properly and so I needed a new container. I wanted one just like what I had. I wanted the more professional looking container that didn't have anything on the handle. The container is the same however the lid does not have the squeeze top like my original. I like the new top fine or I can still use my old one. Overall it is an authentic Vitamix container and I love it. Works perfect with my machine and now it is running like new! Attached is a photo of it by itself or with my old one to compare (the new one is on the right). The top is more firm and has two side latches. I thought I was getting the squeeze top with the container like my original so was surprised when it arrived but the top is easy to take on and off and I like it fine. I was worried because of a few comments on here making it seem like the container was a fake or cheaply made. The container has the same thickness and quality with the Vitamix branding as my original and is really nice. It is perfect!

I just received this product. Exactly within two days and in great packaging and condition. It seems to work perfectly and is a much improved design from the canister that came with my 5000. It does fit perfectly! I noticed two small holes in opposing sides of the base. I was concerned about this and considered returning the product until I contacted Vitamix directly. I learned this is a new design to remove air pressure at high speeds. I reduced my rating from 5 starts to 4 because this should have been mentioned in the product description. 6/21/2014 Update: I received a prompt email from this vendor "CoolShineyStuff" the next day confirming this as a design change . I have suggested this information be added to the posting and a representative of Vitamix said they receive frequent calls about this from existing users who purchase new containers. If a comment about this is added to the post I will be happy to revise my review to 5 stars. Excellent product and I was glad it was available. It is a much nicer container than the one which was suppled with my Vitamix 5000. 7/3/2014: revised my review to 5 starts to reflect the excellent quality and great customer service of this product and vendor. I still suggest commenting for users Vitamix who are ordering as a replacement part, the holes are a new feature. Great product and vendor!

I am so glad I bought this container and not a knock off version. The bearings in my original Vitamix blender container (which I bought over 20 years ago) were leaking and contaminating by shakes. I considered purchasing a cheaper, non-Vitamix blender, but I am so glad I didn't! I love this new and improved blender container. It is even easier to use, which surprised me greatly. I love the improved lid! Excellent quality! No issues whatsoever. I am very, very, very pleased!!!!

This Vitamix container is a wonderful addition to any kitchen. It is easy to clean, holds a large volume, and comes with a tamper to push down foods for a smoother blending experience. It fits perfectly on the base and is very easy to use.

I bought this to replace my old 64 oz container that finally wore out after many many years of service making smoothies. I have the Vita-Mix 5000 model and this new container mates perfectly with it. The new container is made with the same high quality Vita-Mix standards with a couple of design upgrades (higher quality blades and air vent holes at the base). As long as my Vita-Mix 5000 base continues to work, I expect I will enjoy many more years of use from this new container. If you've never owned a Vita-Mix, you need to. They are the industry standard and the best of the best.

The item depicted on the Amazon site is not the item delivered. Website shows replacement pitcher has the original comfortable, hard rubber handle. Delivered item does not have the more usable handle, just a sharper, cheaper, hard plastic one. Without the depicted hard rubber handle it is almost unusable when you have a full pitcher. Thinking I may have received a defective item, I returned my first order, received a second order, and it too did not have the “as shown” handle. So not a defective item, just a falsely advertised one. Neither Amazon nor Vitamix has been helpful in providing the correct replacement pitcher as shown on the website. Very disappointing, returning the second one also.

After a few months of using this Vitamix container replacement still works great. The sturdiness is not as strong as the original one but still, we haven't had any problems. I will say IT IS VERY LOUD, so just prepare yourself for that. It could be due to the sturdiness I was talking about compared to the older one but it works just as fine. The blades are strong and still leaves our smoothies incredibly creamy!

We got a Vitamix 5000 more than 20 yrs ago out of frustration with blenders dying after a year. Post-workout drinks were not optional for us, and we needed a reliable machine to whip them up 2-3x per week. Our Vitamix has worked well, but has been showing its age for longer than I want to admit. Actually, the container looked so horrible no matter what I did to clean it - even the kids wanted to throw it away! The solution was a new container. A little research lead me to this product. We are all thrilled. It looks good and works well. Even that little stall when starting to blend is gone with the new container. So why just 4 stars? — It is still plastic which I don’t prefer and will very likely look like my old one in a few years. For the price it should have been glass. The margins on this product are obviously excessive and I can’t feel good about spending so much on some plastic. I just didn’t want to go back to the land of disappointing blendera, so I will enjoy it while it is still clear and hope a glass version comes out by the time I want to replace this one.

Bought this 5 years ago and still works great I use a couple times a day for my protein shakes. High quality !

Excellent vitamix jug, very robust I use it everyday for making soups, soothies, dips. I would highly recommend it.

Estaba buscando cambiar el vaso que traía mi vitamix que compré hace unos 5 años, que por cierto funciona como nueva. Ese vaso ya está muy desgastado y sucio y rallado pues al hora de limpiarlo aquí en casa se les ocurrió rayarlo, buscando opciones encontré este que tiene más capacidad, lo cual me encantó y es genial para mis smoothies. Lo compré cuando tenía descuento y totalmente valió la pena, lo compraría de nuevos.

The cost is brutal, but you’re not going to get the same experience with the low profile container so I had to purchase this. Now the Vitamix is amazing ... I’d still buy it again if I had to before considering anything else though
