🌬️ Cool down, power up!
The Silverstone Tek 140mm x 38mm Fan is engineered for high efficiency cooling, featuring a dual mode operation that allows users to switch between power and quiet modes, ensuring optimal performance while minimizing noise. Its long-life dual ball bearing motor and innovative giant-bladed design make it a reliable choice for both CPU coolers and computer cases.

Bad batch of these being sold?
I live in the Philippines and if I want items like this Silverstone fan, it takes double-shipping and 2 months for me to get it. I haven't received this item yet, it will be here in a few days. About a week ago I was looking at my orders and saw that Amazon has stop selling these fans because many people have been receiving bad ones. If mine is bad I have no realistic recourse but to eat it.I also saw complaining on the egg site on the same issue and people say that Silverstone is not being responsive.Soooo, two can play at that game. Yesterday I bought a new power supply retail in Philippines and I had a choice of a Silverstone 600 watt or a Thermaltake 575 for the same price (about 120USD). I bought the Thermaltake in an act of retaliation and because I think it's a better unit. Mwah (that means 'kiss') to Silverstein.**** update **** Aug. 11, 2013I received my fan and have been using it for a week. It appears that I received a good one. I left the speed switch on 'P' out of the box because I read other reviews that had their fan fail after testing in 'Q' mode. The higher speed is why I bought it - to cool a six-core AMD powerhog. On a Gigab 990fxa-d3 board it runs from idle of 1350 to 1800rpm without any fancy control software and cools just fine on a coolermaster GEMIN II S524.4 stars. 1 docked because of the uncertainty.

Powerhouse of a fan with painfully short cable.
I doubt you will find a similar size fan with an equivalent CFM or static pressure at any given noise level due to being 50% thicker than pretty much every other fan on the market. The built in fan splitter, RPM limit switch (which is incorrectly marked), rubber fan mounts, and 120mm mounting holes with 140mm adapters makes the fan very versatile.I wish they included eight 140mm mounts instead four but the biggest problem that they don't give you and extension cable, The 9" long cable severely limits how/where you can place the fan even in a small case. I had to pull more cable from the fan frame and mount the fan opposite direction to get the 12" of cable I needed to mount the fan.Do yourself a favor and get an extension cable even if you don't think you need it.

Some Fat Fans Boi
They are great fans, but since they're a little thicker you might have some compatibility issues with some cases. Also it has 120mm mounting holes but comes with adapters. The adapters help out, but trying to get these to mount on the 280mm rad was pretty time consuming because the adapters don't fit very well on the rad so, and you'll need to purchase some shorter radiator screws to mount them. so they're not very ideal for watercooling. They also have a switch for power or quiet mode. This switch feature was odd however because somehow the settings designated by the switch positions were somehow flipped so the fans saw much more performance on quiet mode than performance mode. Quiet mode is pretty quiet, it runs at around 1300 rpm on this setting, and around 2000 rpm on performance mode. Noise level seems very subjective to me but they're pretty quiet compared to other things in my house that overpower these fans. On either setting the fans move a lot of air and keep my CPU (6700k) around 23 Celsius at idle. The most ideal setup would be to run the fans on the CPU header/s at performance mode and any case fans on quiet mode.

High static pressure fan, 140mm fan with 120mm mounts.
I have this fan mounted to the side panel of a Corsair C70 case to feed air directly to my video card and sound card. It is mounted from the inside with rubber fan mounts and has no clearance issues with the video card. I'm also using a 140mm dust filter and the added air restriction doesn't seem to affect it at all.I set the switch to Power mode while gaming and there is a noticeable click/knocking sound coming from the fan. This doesn't bother me since I use a headset or have the sound volume up loud. In Quiet mode it is only noticeable when you have your ear up to it. It moves a lot of air and keeps me confident there is good flow and no dead spots inside my case.My only gripe is that I have to pull the side panel off every time I want to switch the fan mode. I'm thinking about pulling the switch from the fan and soldering a longer cable so i can mount it somewhere for easier access.

Fantastic fan
I have a Corsair Vengeance C70 case with crossfire gigabyte 7970's. Before installing these I had 2 existing 120mm fans on the side of the case and the 2 stock 120mm's that come with the corsair vengeance case blowing towards the cards. Under this setup my top card was hitting 85c+ before I would shutoff the testing (would hit these temps in less than five minutes with GPU fan's on max). After installing only two of these fans on the side of my case to replace my two quiet coolermaster 120mm fans(extaking hot air from cards) my top card now only peaks at ~72c depending on room temps. I can safely assume before installing these my card would have easily hit 90c+ if I had let it continue testing, which means they easily made ~20c+ difference on my CF setup. I now have two more on the way to replace the corsair stock fans blowing towards the card, to perform a makeshift push/pull setup on my cards. I'm fairly positive after installing two more my top card will remain in the 60's.Other good things about this fan, as one of the other comments indicate it is in fact a 140mm fan with 120mm mounts. The CFM is insane (albeit I have no way to test if it is actually hitting the advertised CFM). I can feel these fans blowing ~10ft away from my computer when they are maxed out. These fans are definitely ~.5-1 inches thicker than your average run-of-the-mill 120mm fan, so make sure clearance is not an issue.

Static Pressure! You Got It, Lots of It!
Moves air with ease. Simply put, you get great value for money on 140mm, 38mm thickness fan. There are practically not many competitors for 38mm x 140mm fan in this price range. Will keep buying this. Ensure that your application allows this thickness.

The static pressure, the CFMs. My God the CFMs
Running hot? Need some ventilation? Look no further.

Powerful fan and not too loud.
Very powerful fan. Knock my temp by 5 degrees C.
