This is the perfect water pot for us. It boils fast due to the higher wattage I believe.At first I was concerned because the auto shut off didn't SEEM to work, but after a few boils I figured it might be the switch was a bit tight. I flipped it up and down about a dozen times and now it works great.

omgosh! this sucker heats up water quickly! I put in just a bit of water, cause I use Itehl filtered water and I didn't want to use my whole day's stash - just to see if/how it works. it was boiling in nothing flat. the fact that the reviews are all great, that it's stainless steel are the most important reasons I bought this. In the winter I drink tea more than coffee, so this is going to be awesome to use instead of the keurig. And just think, I can have boiling water, put in a pot, put in the pasta and in 10? min it will be done. Ditto eggs.

I love how quick water can heat in this kettle. I do live somewhere that has hard water so I do notice build up accumulates in it fairly quickly. To clean it out, I just use food grade citric acid powder, then rinse it out and it’s good as new. The kettle has stayed in good shape and seems like it will last a long time.

I’m absolutely loving this electric kettle! It’s super convenient and heats water so quickly—I don’t even bother with the stovetop anymore when I want tea. It’s efficient, easy to use, and the 1.7-liter size is perfect whether I’m making just one cup or a few. I also really appreciate the sleek stainless-steel design—it looks great on my counter. i deducted 1 star (would have been a half or quarter star if available) only because you cant see the water level from the outside and the lid cant open straight up for filling, but this is a great unit. boils fast and stays cool to the touch on the outside. also, the contact point to the base is in the center so it swivels to any position. this is a great unit. i bought this one because my other one (not this brand) that i bought 14 years ago gave out. if this one lasts as long, that would be great.
