These are a great substitute for conduit to box connectors. I use these to run conduit because of the price. Just remove the grommet on the end and the 1/2" PVC slips right on snuggly. Put a little RTV on the threads before you do that and it is water tight. It is not code but it is a lot cheaper.

Part of a table saw switch upgrade, where I used a cast metal weatherproof box, to keep sawdust out of the switch. These glands screwed into the 1/2" pipe thread holes in the box and hold the 14-3 cables in place just fine.

I've used construction electrical wire clamps in the pat on my projects. These cable glands are so much better that I'll be using them on all my projects that require cable retention and protection.

Fits perfectly in a 1/2" threaded gang box or pump housing. No problem running 12/3 SO cord through. Gasket is good when using outdoors.
