Good book. Stand alone chapter explain in detail every process and equipment. You can read any chapter and understand without reading chapters before or after.

Rented this book for a course and it was very detailed, but had a lot of material crammed into multiple chapters. Some chapters felt like a challenge to read through and remember little key points that can be important to remember.

The textbook is a very useful source of information for the subject matter it covers.At the time of purchase, this edition (4th edition), was $30 cheaper than the previous edition (3rd edition), making this a good value. I was concerned that since my instructor is using the 3rd edition there might be inconsistencies between editions that would result in added difficulties following along with classwork. So far there have been no significant differences between editions. I will try to remember to update this review if I begin experiencing problems.

This book was purchased as a mandatory text for a university course, and so despite reading the previous bad reviews, I didn't have much choice but to purchase.THE REVIEWS WEREN'T LYING!!!This book has critical words missing, it's honestly like reading a fill in the blanks type quiz, as the words that are missing at the critical words in the text.The glossary has the explanations, but your need to guess what the words are, it's like a game of jeopardy, but you'll never be sure of your score!The book is filled with useful diagrams and explanations, but not a single one has a title to cover which figure it is, despite them being referred to in the text, I had to go through each chapter and mark them up in order to try to make sense of what was being referenced, so there was another game... Is this one drawing or two when they're close to each other and related, am I brace enough to gamble, or do I need to skim the texts to try to make sense of if the next figure might be right or not.I've actually tried to check on more than one occasion to see if this is some kind of study accompaniment, and there is a teacher's version that can be bought with all the answers in, as there is just so many blanks... Part of me is wondering if they've used a special font, that for some reason has just not been printed on all the important words, almost as if they were inserted into a text as a hyperlink and it's not translated formats.Honestly, it is quite possibly the worst printed material I have ever had the displeasure to try to work with, I will be feeding this information back to the course team that mandate this text!I think it would have been a really great book if they'd not somehow screwed up the printing so badly!!!

it is good but it can further be improved adding colored pictures to understand better by Visual aid.Also on line access to the Book be provided to the buyers.

I bought this book twice, both times the same print issueNeeded it for a course and it was uselessThe info in the book, if all there would make it a good book it has useful images and layer out ok
