I just got an assurance umx u683cl smart phone running on android 8.1 go. will this work with my new phone to make charging easier?

You have to get the one for micro USB charging port. The one I bought is for a type-c charging port but the make both kinds. And the micro USB charging port says type A or type B. So I have one of the phones you do and I think you would get the one for micro USB type B. Hope this helps and if you order the right one they work great
