If you have a reader who is 10 and a good reader-or listener
cause you can read to them- this is the author for you!!! David Walliams is a good actor and a great author. He's funny and human-not all that happens in the books is happy or sweet but is is HUMAN and FAMILY. I love that my grandson now owns 11 of his books and he lends them to his cousins who must always give them back!!

Another great book by David Walliams
My 13-year old still enjoys reading and laughing at Walliams' humorous characters and always gets to read a second time to me while I am driving or running other chores, so I get to laugh at it too. I recall disliking only one book by this author and it was Ratburger. I found it too gruesome for kids, but from Mr. Stink to The Ice Monster, it has always been great!

My 8 yr old lovesss this book! She can't put it down once she picks it up and keeps bursting into laughter :) I believe this will be a book she will keep reading over and over.

My son loves it!
My 9 year old son has read this book three times! I just started it so can not accurately give a description if the story, but I’m still giving it 5 stars for my sons reaction

A great adventure that both my kids enjoyed
One of those rare books that appeals to both my seven-year-old son and ten-year-old daughter. An English orphan sneaks into a museum to see the "ice monster" - a mammoth frozen in a block of ice. But is the mammoth really dead...? It's gentler than some of David Walliams' other books, and has more historical accuracy (resurrected mammoth aside). Think Dahl meets Dickens. Walliams fans will be glad to know that Raj's great-grandfather features.
