NYDJWomen's Marilyn Straight Denim Jean

I've been buying NYDJ for over 10 years and the quality of jeans made in the USA were superb. Things seemed to have changed. I'm always a size 0 (denim and ponte knit) but when my new Marilyn jeans arrived, I couldn't get them over my thighs. I didn't think to check the reviews which I normally do these days because NYDJ has never let me down. I sent them back and ordered a size 2 which are just ok but the difference between sizes is enormous. I checked the reviews, then checked my size 2 Marilyn's and guess what ... not made in the USA, made in Mexico. I also had a very good look at the quality and it's so inferior to the NYDJ quality I've become used to over the years. I'll keep the size 2 only because I've taken the tags off. But a warning ... don't be like me and just assume that NYDJ is still the superb quality it used to be. Do your homework first. Won't be purchasing their jeans again until they can guarantee they are made in the US.

I ordered these in the Burbank wash. The inseam said 33", so I thought they'd be okay for my 5'7" frame. Nope. First of all, the color does not look like it does in the photo. There isn't fading on the butt or thighs. I didn't think these jeans complemented by butt at all.. they made it look flat as a pancake. There is a decent amount of stretch, so they were comfortable. But they were WAY too short. Like, level with the top of my ankle bone, and showing too much ankle.The material is thick and stretchy, but the color, detail, and construction look cheaply made. I just cannot understand why these are so dang expensive. These shouldn't be more than thirty dollars, tops. They are super basic, generic jeans. I don't get it.

These are traditional jeans that have a zip front and button front. I wear the NYDJ Women's Pull On Ponte Leggings which come in denim color but are not true jeans. They are a dream come true! Now these jeans fit me great in all areas except one. I am 54 years old not in the best shape. a 10 or 12 bottom and have no rear end. :I weigh about 175 and am 5' 10" tall. Tall girls jeans usually just add length to the leg where a 31 inseam is ideal for me under most circumstances. These jeans do not give me the dreaded camel toe and the legs are not too tight but there is still the slight muffin top going on. I have changed my eating habits due to weight gain and other health issues so the waistline is probably my fault. As I get some wear on these jeans I will update the review; one thing I did not expect was rhinestone trim detail on the rear. Rhinestones are not me and even though they give you extra as time marches on they are going to fall off and I will never bother to replace them. Not as pictured!

I'm 5'9 with long legs, full hips & butt and am hard to fit in jeans...but I loved these. They fit snug but not tight. They hold their shape, even after wearing 2 full separate days they held up great. As far as length goes, they are just right, not to the floor with shoes on but at a good length where they do not look like "high-waters". The waist sits at what I refer to as the sweet spot-not low cut by any means but not too high they look like Mom-jeans. Even the pockets are the right shape/placement. I love that they are not skinny legged but not boot cut either, a good straight leg that isn't tapered, finally!! I've worn them with lace up boots, sandals, flats, tennis shoes...very versatile!

This is the second pair of NYDJ Marilyn's that I have purchased in the past 5 months. The first pair fit perfectly (after purchasing one size down, of course). They were long, about 33+ inches and had to be shortened. No big deal. I considered them 5-star and purchased a second pair last week. Ugh. The jeans were way big in the waist and seat and were 31.5 inches in the inseam. I did look at the country of manufacture and it was Mexico. Unfortunately I had already removed the tag from the older pair so I have no idea if they were manufactured someplace else. But clearly SOMETHING has changed...and not for the better.

These pants fit nicely and are cute but for some reason when I sit down, which I didn’t do until it was too late to return them, they expose my underwear – they ride way down. Maybe the waistband is too stretchy, I don’t know. The fabric doesn’t really feel like denim – it’s very lightweight. But they are good work pants because they are a very dark wash with no whiskering, holes or anything like that.

Purchased 3 pair. Burbank fit terrific, Manhatten Beach slightly looser. Kensington are really loose and about 1" longer.I chose size 12 because I like a roomier waist. I also think the tight legged look is a trend, so I wanted jeans that fit looser. 5'8, 162 lbs, 39" hips, waist 33. What I like about these, is the waist fits but the material doesn't bulge on the hips. I did buy a 10, they fit but I didn't like the all round tight fit.Wash in cold water, inside out, hang to dry.

I really, really wanted to love these jeans. The material feels and looks like it is of a high quality and the overall fit was very comfortable. Here's why I returned them, though. The very top of the waistband flips over/out after sitting down. This is annoying enough on its own, but it comes with another annoying side effect. The front belt loops then bulge out. I can't imagine what I could ask for, sizing-wise, except that maybe the top of the waistband be a bit smaller??? FYI: I'm 5'8", 160 lbs, ordered size 12.

Love these NYDJ jeans. Have been wearing this brand for years. Perfect fit. Good to know that Australian size 14 is an American 10.

NYDJ are great, just not the right size. I sent the jeans by mail on January 23, 2018. I didn't include the original packaging, the jeans were sent in. The tracking number is 7005420850993439.

Great fit, order a size smaller than you would normally wear.

The pants weren’t as faded as the picture shows.
