Mattel Scene it Jr. DVD Game

I bought this game for our kids for Christmas and we loved it. I game my husband and I could play AND enjoy playing with our kids (ages 12,10,7). It has scenes from many different kids movies and TV shows and you answer questions from watching clips from the DVD. After a couple of times playing the DVD wasn't working right and kept playing the same clips or not giving us the answers and one of the options didn't work. I took it back to the store to exchange it and you can't find it in the stores anymore. I ordered it from Amazon through TOYZZ and never recieved it. Amazon was great at refunding my money instantly after I contacted them and then I ordered it again through Southeast clearance, something like that, and I got the game in 3 days. So far this DVD is working great and we enjoy playing it for a family game night which my kids love! As long as the game works I think it is a great value and I would love to buy this for all those kids birthday parties we get invited too. A great toy for under $20 including the shipping and handling.

I do think that this game is worth the money. I would pay about 50 dollars for it if I had it.I currently owned a older version of scene it, and the questions were so hard I couldn't answer them. When I bought this game, I was surprised. They had questions for all kids ages. They have questions about spongebob, buffy the vampire slayer, karate kid, shrek, and even more questions about actors like ben affleck or singers like Madonna. I think when thinking of buying a game it isn't going to be worth it if no one feels like there is a chance for them to win.I highly recommend this game for your family! It is fun, and a must-have!

We have the original Scene It and tried it with my 11-16 year old kids, but they were not familiar with most or the movies or the actors so we tried this version. The game play is the same as the original but the questions and activities are much more aligned with my family’s ages. We have played a few times and had a great time! Recommended, but make sure that you have a DVD player where you plan to play it!

This is a great game, like the other Scene it editions we have. Some of the topics are too challenging for my kids, but it's more suited for the entire family than the kid specific Disney version. Overall a fun and easy game that we play often.

Lots of fun

We don't like this game, as a lot of the questions are outdated and not relevant to kids "these days." I'd skip this game. We got rid of ours.

I have never purchased anything used from Amazon before. Seeing how expensive scene it games are I thought I would try it. It came in one day and it almost perfect condition. I couldn't even tell that it had been played with. I would definitely look for used games in the future from Amazon.

My kids love the Scene It board games. I purchased this thinking it would be easier for them as it is a "junior" version. I would say that one third or more of the questions are irrelevant to children as they pertain to movies or topics far preceding their time. There was even a question about The Beatles! Other movies that the questions were asking about were from so long ago that they did not have any clue what the game was talking about. I would look for a more updated version if you are shopping for a fun family, kid friendly game. Good luck!
