Countryside: A Report
K**O
RK As Usual
This is a fascinating book about a report on what is happening in the countryside or simply outside the city or metropolitan boundary: fulfillment centers, permafrost, Gorilla conservation, pixel farming, industrial park, data centers, national parks, and many others spanning several continents. Interestingly, a lot of the essays done by OMA/AMO folks have similarities in style. They always use a very descriptive observation style in their reporting. Interviews are presented as they were. Some essays are written by experts on the subjects. As the book title suggests, it does not provide any conclusion, but more questions from Rem himself.

Why the sexist cover?
Why are women in traditional costume presenting food an appropriate cover image for a modern take on country life? Did no one bring up the words Like sexist, conservative, patriarchal gender roles in the design meeting? Why did no one catch this ?
