very nice book
This is a good book for young children. It shows a child doing all the "normal" things throughout the story. Its not until the last page you see that the child happens to be in a wheelchair. I think this is perfect for a pre-schooler, its just a couple words on each page, and it introduces them to the topic of disability or rather ABILITY. I have twin boys, one of whom uses a wheel chair so we live the true story of ALL the things he can do, not just the one thing he can't (walk). But I'm planning on taking this book to his pre-school and sharing with his friends.

Love this book
Love this book. Simply put for young kids. It shows several illustrations of a little girl who can do many things, with simple statements on each page. The last page reveals that she uses a wheelchair. We just ordered my daughter's first wheelchair and I can't wait to share this book with others. I bought a few copies. The kids at daycare are well aware of what my daughter can do, but this will be great for her classroom and other classrooms when she attends pre-k. Wonderful book. Highly recommend for any child, their daycare or classroom, wheelchair or not.

I Laugh too
This is a wonderful Book! I have taken this book with me to every family I babysit for - Every child has asked me to read it again. The pictures are great - very expressive. This book is great for all children. What is great is that each child I babysit for has had a different reaction to the final picture (The only picture of Susan in a wheelchair). Some older children have told me about a kid in their grade who uses a wheelchair, some of the younger kids show no surprise whatsever - to them Susan really is no different anyway!

Great book. Susan is just like everyone else
Great book. Susan is just like everyone else; at the end of the book the reader discovers that Susan is in a wheelchair. As a mom of 2 daughters with physical limitations, I am always searching for books that have characters using equipment without the equipment being the focus of the book. This book meets that quest!

I love, love
I love, love, love this book! I would highly recommend it to any teachers of young children, especially toddlers or preschoolers. The illustrations are wonderful and the children often laugh at the things Susan gets up to, but in the end there is also a clear message about diversity. Love it!

Might want to pick another book
The reviews on this book were good so I bought it for my daughter’s teacher to read to her kindergarten class. I hate saying this but the book is terrible. It’s boring, SUPER repetitive and the illustrations aren’t that great. I didn’t even send it to school because I thought it would be boring for kindergarteners. The point of the book is great but it gets lost well before you get to it.

Great topic starter.
I bought this book to read to my daughters preschool class. She has multiple handicaps and is in a wheelchair and this book helped explain how she feels to her friends.

Susan Laughs
The book it's self was great. But the binding was torn really bad, and I can't leave in my classroom library because of it's condition.

Such a wonderful book...
I am a primary school teacher, so I have ordered books for my child and for my class.Pros: This is an excellent book for introducing an array of wonderful, exciting and engaging verbs for children.Cons: Sometimes the pictures don't match the words, e.g. Susan's proud, in a way that is obvious for younger readers.

Fantastic price.
I got this book for my 2 grandchildren. One who has cerebral palsy. This book was on one of the children’s channels read by a well known person. Both girls loved it then and they love us reading to them. Fantastic condition, really quick delivery and very reasonably priced!!

Lovely story!
Lovely story! A character who happens to be disabled rather than the disability defining them! We love it!

Fabtastic book
We love love this book. Shows children that disabilities does not define a person and that Susan is still Susan and loves the same activities every other children love doing and has the same fears and feelings. Lovely story, great illustrations.

I love this book. Perfect for teaching two word sentences. It’s also ideal to promote values of inclusion with children
