This camera provides high resolution and excellent color fidelity, as shown in the attached picture I took from the camera. The pictures are stored inside the application space, but can be emailed one at a time for saving. You can also save videos. This camera can be panned from your phone, even if you are miles away, provided you have internet access.My only complaint is that the manual is not readable by people with less than perfect eyesight without the use of a magnifier. The type size is simply too small. The good news, and the solution for me, is that you can download the manual and the quick start guide from their eyenimal.com website. Amazon does not publish reviews with external links, so you will have to do a search when you get to the web site. It is in the manual you receive, however, and with a magnifier can actually be used.You can talk to your pet and listen to their response. The microphone is not automatically on, but is easily accessed from the camera picture by clicking on the picture and then pressing the little speaker icon at lower left. Curiously, the application has icons for focusing and zooming but they do nothing. To zoom, you simply use two fingers to open up the section you wish to view. To focus, you have to turn the lens. Then you must use trial and error to figure out if the picture is in proper focus by viewing the picture on your phone.There seems to be no application for use on your computer, only for your phone (either iPhone or android). The apps on both phones appear to be identical in capability. I concluded this by reading the iPhone and android manuals, which describe the applications and where to download them. The application is quite quick at connecting to the camera and depending upon your connection, the frames per second rate appears to be about 10 - 15 fps. Amazing. You can even watch your TV from the restaurant if they provide high speed internet.This is not only the perfect camera for monitoring a pet, but works equally well as a security camera for your home. If you find someone in your home who does not belong there, you can take their picture or record a video of them and talk to them telling them they have been captured in high definition and it would be best if they left without taking anything. Similarly, if the dog is trashing your home within view of the camera, you can capture the event in HD for later enjoyment. You can even try scolding the animal using the audio connection. Might even work.If you lose power, the camera automatically reconnects after going through its startup procedure which tests the up/down and left/right panning motors. The only thing you will notice if the power goes out is that the camera is not aimed at the same spot it was before the power was lost. No big deal. You have complete control over the camera when you connect with the app.Finally, the camera defaults to standard definition when first started up. You need to turn on HD on the application using the icon at lower right. Once done, it seems to stay that way, which is nice.

This camera is actually very impressive. The app controls it reasonably well, the video quality is excellent with good light; OK with a bit lower and still acceptable in very low light. The app starts up and connects reasonably fast both in the house and away ... even via the cellular network. Once connected it is nice and solidIt comes with an ethernet cable, but the instructions are all for wi-fi. I have not tried it with ethernet.Also comes with a mount for a cabinet or wall.So why one (actually a half) star off? The ethernet issue ... there are no instructions for use with an ethernet cable, nor any statements of benefits of wifi vs. ethernet in its use. The only mention of ethernet in the set up instructions are a warning to NOT connect the cable when using it. They make it sound like you should not use it ... making you wonder why it is included.That aside, though, this is a solid product highly recommended.

Other than the panning and zooming being a little laggy, I haven’t found much to dislike about this particular Eyenimal product, which is their first crack at a WiFi cam targeted at pets (could also be used as a baby monitor, security cam, etc). Setup isn’t an issue via the phone app, which I just recommend scanning the QR code to get and skipping the manual/paper instructions altogether. We have used it so far to monitor our cats while on a short road trip, and I love how the audio functionality allows for two-way communication with them. When I couldn’t see our kitties, I was able to call to them and actually able to get one to walk right up to the camera. We will be in Europe in a couple months and will only have someone stop in once every couple days to feed and change their water, so we love that this will give us some peace of mind and be able to see that they’re okay in the times in between. The camera is able to adjust to different types of light so you can even see what’s going on in the dark. We love it!

This is the first PTZ camera I've tried, and the experience was a good one.Setup involves downloading a control app, plugging in the camera, allowing it to calibrate its pan-zoom-tilt position, and using the app to connect it to the network. This camera uses audible tones to communicate between app and camera, which my spouse found a little disconcerting. The setup worked fine, though.In the high-res mode, video is nearly realtime. The picture was clear, with good color tones. Infrared lights automatically come on when ambient lighting is too low, and the camera shifts into an infrared mode that appears in grayscale on the screen. The lights easily illuminated areas 10 feet away.Though overall this is a very good setup, I found the app gave little guidance about shifting the camera's aim. There are no on-screen controls. It took at least 10 swipes to get the camera to pan 140 degrees or so.

I prefer the ability to access my cameras from my desktop. Yes you can check to see what's going on with your phone but you'll never be able to use it for details. And searching through recordings is easier on a big screen. While you can access this from your desktop the interface is like old Windows 3.0, 1980s style.You will need to install Flash to use access it on a Mac. Apple suggests not installing Flash for good reason. On Windows 7 it uses Direct Draw. It works but not the greatest looking video on screen.It can be set up for motion detection, schedule for certain days and time of day, record audio and video, and even email or FTP to a server. You can also setup a fixed IP address and create additional users although you can't add any restrictions. Night vision can be auto, on or off.But worst of all it crashes. I was going through the settings and IE crashed.Overall, it has lots of features I like just comes up a bit short in the software and compatibility.

Caméra trés facile à utiliser avec un smartphone .... trés utile quand on veut avoir des nouvelles de son animal dans la journée .... Par contre l'image n'est pas toujours nette ... parfois également il faut s'y reprendre à plusieurs fois pour que la caméra tourne (mais peut être que cela vient de la connexion wifi ou on se trouve). Cependant je ne regrette pas du tout mon achat.

Super facile d utilisation et mode d emploi en français.mise en route simple. Je suis rassurée de voir si mes animaux sont tranquille et pas en difficultés quand je suis absente. Je me sens rassuree.cependant j ai fait un échange rapide car défectueux après après utilisation plus moyen de mettre un code L'AN en route. Difficulté aussi de bouger la caméra avec le doigts sur le smartphone.

J'ai acheté cette caméra pour surveiller mon petit caniche lorsqu'il est seul. J'ai un peu galéré pour le wifi et faire reconnaître par mon téléphone mais il faut dire que je ne suis pas très experte !!!Fonctionne bien, manque un peu de rapidité dans le mouvement mais pas mal quand même, on voit bien ce qui se passe

J ai acheter ce produit pour surveiller mon chien à distance. Il fonctionne vraiment très très bien contrairement à mes craintes. La qualité vidéo est addaptable et vraiment top. Permet de parmatrer un mode alarme qui fonctionne vraiment bien. Même si elle est un peu compliquer à Connecter la première fois elle est vraiment top et facile à utiliser après
