May go back, ....NOPE DIDN'T
Well lets start out saying Iv'e had 3 different Signal Kings and they have been good. This one not so, It is always dropping the signal (even just from across the street) about 10 minutes after I get it and is runs slow, under 1/2 of my other one, when It had it. BUT on another computer it will stay a bit sometimes and have a decent speed I could live with. I have another Signal King and is awesome fast and locks and keeps the signals even from up the block. Same thing except it is a older one with a 15 FT cord that seem the only difference. Before I return it I'm going to try this ----> 30cm USB 2.0 a Power Enhancer Y 1 Female to 2 Male Data Charge Cable Extension Cord <---- as I think mabye one USB port may not supply enough power for such a long cord. On my desktop it stayed on for almost hour even though slow it's seeing signals 22 compared to the usual 3 or 4. When I order the piece I will update if it helped. Gave it 2 because I read a review of how this was and ordered anyway and also I'm sure on my other desktop with 16 USB ports I may find one that may keep it usable hopefully since it doesn't have WiFi.............. Got a cord like the one above and with it I do not experience the dropped signals now and is getting a slightly better speed. I also use a driver from mediatek (dot) com with this " /en/downloads1/downloads/ " finishing the address . Look for the one that starts with USB then for your OS, OSX or Windows and download it. Not sure about linux but this adapter uses the 3070 chipset.

Does NOT function
It arrived, installer appropriate drivers, plugged it in, it recognized it, allowed me to see networks for 5 seconds then started going crazy saying it's unplugged, then plugged, then unplugged and so on, I have gotten maybe 2 min stable time to look for networks and connect them before it does the "unplugged" thing again.. I have 3.0 high speed ports and a very high end laptop so that's not the problem. I ordered replacement which arrived fast (thank you Amazon) plugged it in and BAMMMM same thing.. so I started to think it might actually be my laptop, went to friends house and family and what you know.. same thing on their laptops and desktops. I've owned something just like this 2 years ago just different name and style was a bit different and it was simple plug in play and it worked fine. Also, it shows both 14 and 20 dBi advertisement, which one exactly is it?
