Folkmanis Alligator Hand Puppet

I bought this for my brother for Christmas. He is very picky about his gifts, but loves puppets. This does fit an adult guy's hand with no trouble. It looks good, well sew, not cheap, but Folkmanis is always good, it is pretty much the only puppet brand we buy. The price is good for a quality puppet. I must confess I played with him just a bit before giving him to my brother to make sure he fit my hand with room to spare. Your hand is comfortable, its soft inside. I wouldn't say he looks realistic, but he does look very much like an alligator, but Folkmanis has some puppets that look almost like the real thing, such as the ferret. I feel this puppet has character, it really was easy to want to give him a personality.

It was a toss up between this and the more expensive, more realistic looking Folkmanis alligator puppet. So glad I went with the cheaper one-- it paid off. The scales are more irregular looking in person-- more realistic than appears in the picture. The teeth are made of a tough, rubbery plastic, which I think my 3 year old son will love. His eyes are nice and reptilian. He he has nice weight, but not too heavy, and he's constructed at the high quality of all Folkmanis puppets. I thought the tail would stick out straight in the back, giving him a good shape for "swimming" though the swamp, but it curls over to the side. Another view of the puppet would be nice to show this detail. Anyway, he will just swim a little crookedly and we're going to have a lot of fun with him!

Great puppet my grandson loves it very easy to use and fun for him

Our local library allows puppets to be checked out- and this alligator is one of my 2 year old grandson's favorites. Decided to see if Amazon carried a puppet similar to our local library's alligator puppet in order to surprise my grandson; and was happy to discover the exact same brand of alligator puppet. He now has his own alligator to wrestle with and talk to at Grandma's house. Everyone likes to pick up the 'gator and make him talk and toss balls with his mouth. Well-made puppet. Definitely will buy another puppet from this company

My grandson loved it now my other grandson wants one

My dog is 12 and we've gone through at least 3 of these. She loves wrestling with my husband and the puppet keeps his hand and arm scratch free. These are especially great to play with puppies.
