Just what I wanted

I believe this product works well for treating minor injuries. But it isn't Mercurochrome that I remember. First thing you'll notice is that it isn't red. It is clear. Second thing you'll notice is that it burns because it has alcohol in it. As kids we could always tell Mercurochrome from Methiolate, because when mom applied it to our knee, good old Mercurochrome would not sting and Methiolate would make us scream. Okay, I'm withholding one star for falsely advertising the product, but I still like it and will use it. BTW, this stuff is fantastic for ingrown toenails. Seeps right down to treat and cleanse the wounded toe, and then you can dig out the nail the next day.

I ordered it because of the nostalgic. I remember as a little kid, my mom would always put this on my scraped or cuts.

it does seem to be MercuroChrome, but it's EXTREMELY watered down/diluted. Very very much so. What I received is so watery, you can barely see it when it's applied, a far cry from the MercuroChrome that I was accustomed to, which was a somewhat thick viscous very very reddish liquid/substance.
