Perfect!
This is the best robotic pool cleaner ever! If your in doubt on which robotic pool cleaner will do the job, look no further. It's easy to use and does all the work. It goes up the walls, cleans the stairs and picks up everything!! Also buy the stand and cover, they're a must!

So simple, even a man could (probably) figure it out
Let me tell you, this Dolphin Premier Robotic Pool Cleaner is the best thing to happen to our pool since chlorine. I was bracing myself for hours of setup, reading a manual thicker than a phone book, and listening to my husband invent new curse words—but nope. Plug it in, drop it in the pool, and BOOM—sparkling clean water without the drama. It’s so user-friendly that even my husband (bless his heart) figured it out on the first try. No YouTube tutorials, no frantic Googling, no calls to tech support. I’m still in shock. This little robot zooms around like it owns the place, climbs walls like Spider-Man, and somehow manages to clean better than we ever could manually. I half expected it to start folding laundry too.If you're tired of scrubbing and skimming—and want to feel like a pool-owning genius—get the Dolphin. Bonus: you’ll finally see your spouse win a battle with technology.

Believe the negative reviews!
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I read the reviews beforehand…noted a lot of positive and a lot of negative. Optimistically hoped my experience would be on the positive side. It wasn’t. Unit has been in use two days. Refuses to clean all areas (it seems to detest the shallow end and walls and treats these as no go areas). Cleaning filter is way harder than it needs to be. The “ large leaf bag”, is big, but it is crammed into such a small cavity under the robot it maxes out at probably less than 2 cups of leaves volume-wise….impossible for that bag to expand as they show in the picture. And yes, the cable kinks. I’ve reached out to customer support, but barring some miracle this robot is going back.

In a word - AMAZING!
The first pool opening of the year usually consists of me spending the better part of an hour fishing out all of the fall and winter debris that has fallen into the pool around the cover (how that happens, I have no idea!). So when I read a review from a Dolphin product dealer, raving about the large capacity leaf bag on this model, I knew I had to give it a try.And boy am I glad I did! The initial clean was amazing but the bag did get full after vacuuming up about 90% of the leaf litter on the bottom of the pool. So I cleaned out the bag and ran it again. The pool was 100% clean from the floor, all the way up to the water line! The large capacity bag is made of a thick nylon material. So after the second pool sweep, I removed the bag, shook out the debris, and then ran it through a gentle cycle wash in my washing machine minus any fabric softener to maintain its absorbency. Worked like a charm!Couldn’t be happier with this purchase! Worth every penny!

Misses parts of the floor.
After 4 times running in my 40x20 pool, there are still parts of the floor that have dirt on them. It seems to spend most of its time in the deep end, and doesn't spend enough time in the shallow end, nor the gentle slope between the two.My previous Dolphin, an Explorer worked great. There is also no way to put the cleaner in "Floor Only" mode like the older Explorer.Disappointing for such an expensive robot.

2024 model is a downgrade
I got my first Dolphin Premiere in 2017, and it did a great job of keeping my 35,000-gal pool clean from bottom to waterline. The 2024 model seemed too weak to clean the waterline, while the original tried to climb out of the pool. Also, the 2024 model I got did not let me know when the filter was full, suggesting a quality control issue. Fortunately, returning it was painless. In the end, I got a Dolphin E70 locally AND had my 7-year old Premier repaired by the same shop (for about half what the 2024 model costs). I love them both! The refurbished Premier seems even more vigorous than the original, and the E70 does an adequate job, plus it has all the advantages of its internet-connected app. So, which to use, and which to keep as a spare? While the old Premier is proving itself as I write this, I’ll probably use the E70 till it needs repair because its filter lasts longer between cleanings, and the filter is lots easier to clean.Bottom line: if you are in the market for a new pool robot, the easy but more pricey solution is a Dolphin E70. For the budget option, if you have the time and energy, find a used older Premier and have a local Dolphin dealer refurbish it. I’ve read a lot of reviews and talked to a few dealers. These seem like the best options to me.
