Megapro Tamperproof 15 in 1 Multi Bit Screwdriver (Black/Red)

I bought my first mega Pro mega proof in 1999. It lasted until this past spring when I broke a spanner bit. This tool is an exact replacement and is great. If the longevity of the first tool is any indication. I won't have to replace this one again in my lifetime.

This is my 2nd megapro tamper screwdriver. I bought the 1st one 3 years ago and used it almost every day at work, but unfortunately lost it. Most low voltage guys carry this type of tamper screwdriver. Other brands make them, sometimes in different colors, but they're all the same. The megapro version is the lowest price i've found for this type of screwdriver. IMO this is better than the klein security screwdriver. Pros: - It's pretty tough. The only time i've seen one break was when someone dropped theirs off a lift onto concrete; even then it still worked with a chunk of the handle cracked off. - It has every security bit you'll need for security cameras, access control, intrusion systems, fire alarms, and more - Bit holder is sturdy. The end cap won't pop out by accident. Also, the slots that hold the bits are solid and don't bend or break over time. - The screwdriver shaft is small enough to fit inside tight spots to get at a recessed screw. Cons: - The handle could use some more grip. It is textured but can be hard to grip if it's wet or slippery. I put some hockey tape on mine and it's no longer a problem. - It will rust if you don't take care of it. This is why i bought the stainless version this time. You can keep rust to a minimum if you give the bits a light coat of oil occasionally. It's very humid by me so others might not have this problem.

I've had one of these since my best friend gave it to me in 1994 (branded L.H. Dottie), I use it nearly every day. There is a twenty-something year-old kid at work that kept asking to borrow mine so I bought this one for him as a gift so he has his own. When I opened it I realized the shaft was stainless steel, now I'm jealous and need one for myself. All kidding aside, these are the best multi-bit security screwdrivers on the planet, being stainless, this one is even just a little bit better!
