Not as shown
It may seem a small thing but this book is not as shown in the picture. I ordered all 3 books in the trilogy and book 2 does not have the book number and trilogy written on it. Doesn't look as nice if you're giving as a gift or showcasing the trilogy. I would have appreciated getting what was shown.

Can't wait to find out
A great book that continues the love story of Alexander Hamilton and his wife Elizabeth Schyler. It seems to be getting interesting just by reading the book's flap.

A Love Story, this book finds the couple married and ...
The sequel to Alex and Eliza: A Love Story, this book finds the couple married and negotiating a new country and new marriage at the same time. This book had a slow start, but I enjoyed it once it got going. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!

Thoroughly enjoyable
I really enjoyed this book. It follows the newlyweds Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton as Alexander fights on the front line for his country and Eliza awaits anxiously at home with her family in Albany. The second half of the book follows the two three years after the Battle of Yorktown, when they have just moved in to a new house on Wall Street and Alexander is starting up his career in law. But as Alez gets sucked into his work, Eliza can't help but feel lonely in their household, having moved far away from her family. This book is the second book of the trilogy, and is great for Hamilton: An American Musical fans like myself. The relationship between Alexander and Elizabeth is written very well, and I like the switching of the point of views between the two. It is quite an easy read, and I flew through it. It is definitely enjoyable and one to pick up if you want a read where you don't have to go through world building like in fantasy books, for example. I would definitely check out the first book in the trilogy before reading this one. I personally prefer the first one, as that sets the dynamic of the relationship between the two up. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this book and would recommend.
