Do it yourself, save money
This is a great camera, love the POE, PTZ features, this is mounted on a tower about 30 ft. up I can monitor weather, neighborhood with crisp video.

Decent camera needs ambient lighting
It’s a decent camera. It does well with a little light as the luxe ratings are ok. Forget pure darkness. Ptz works well. I like it enough. I can’t say I’d recommend or not recommend. However I do wish it had true (ir) night vision like my other dahua done camera but on the other hand I don’t get any glare out of it either. I just have to leave the porch light on.

Bad firmware
The camera's web interface is very bad. It requires a user to be logged in to change the PTZ yet it automatically logs out after a short time. There is no "record now" option. It stores video in a way that is non-standard so you have to convert the images to share the images which make them useless for providing legal evidence. There are several places where the web interface menu items don't line up properly sometimes. These cameras have had serious problems with the security of their firmware in the past and this hasn't been updated since 2019. Many of their security fixes were ugly hacks that didn't find the underlying problem. There is alternate firmware that can be loaded on these but that is very risky.
