Lasted 2 years with my 250lbs sitting on it
This is a very comfortable chair, even for a 250lb man like myself. I had to add a seat cushion for more comfort, but lighter people probably won't need it. Unfortunately, one of the arm supports screw holes snapped off (thin metal) and the arm is somewhat loose now. It all still works, but I have to be careful when putting my weight on the arms and lifting/dropping down into the seat. I use the same chair at work, and it had the same problem after 3 years. At $167, the price is right and I'll soon buy another one, as most other chairs I've used over the years have complete fallen apart after a couple years, and most of them cost a lot more money.

Very Happy with my purchase
Enjoyed this chair so much that I purchased it again. I have one for my home office and one for my work office. The chair is comfortable. Love the feature of adjustable arm rests.

Great chair with small cosmetic defect
Assembly: Should take 20 to 30 minutes and easy as expected.Comfort: I'm enjoying the lumbar support. For an average man on the slim side, the comfort and size are good. The only quirk for me is that I wished the arm rests would go back a couple more inches when they're up as they interfere somewhat with my upper arms as does the wide backrest when I need to reach backwards to my other desk. But I don't consider it a flaw as some people like a wider backrest.Aesthetics: What you see is what you get. I like the style.Build quality: This is where I took off 1 star. I assembled this today and what I thought was a scratch turned out what seems to be a manufacturing or shipping accident. The left arm of the chair has a ~1" crack where a bit of fiberglass-looking material leeched out at some point. Not a big deal if it was a cheap chair for basement dwelling but part of the reason for buying this chair was the aesthetics and assuming the build quality was good for the price. With the crack there, it sort of makes the chair look cheap. I'll update this review later if/when I have a different opinion after using the chair some more. And conversely to what someone mentioned, the upper arms aren't aluminum, they seem to be a hard plastic with a fiber underlayer, as best I can tell from the crack. The base of the arms aren't metal but upper arms, definitely not on the exterior.Overall, if not for the crack in the arm, I would've given this chair 4.5 stars in accordance with its pricing. I'd also recommend some good leather/vinyl conditioner application on the seat and arms before assembling for moisture resistance and occasionally to keep from drying out and cracking as leather and vinyl may do.Edit: December now and I just downgraded it to 3 stars. The cushioning isn't soft anymore and I'm still wishing the arms would fold down instead of up because I frequently rest my hands on my legs and the arms just push right against my arms so my movement is limited. For the price, I was a bit happier to have my cheap $50 walmart chair that held up 3 years and holding.

Its a pretty good chair.
Chair is very clean and nice looking. Arrived quickly and in perfect shape. Chair is sturdy and comfortable for regular use. I am a big guy and the seat is plenty wide and the cushion is comfortable for long periods of time and has remained comfortable for the 5 months I've had it. Mesh back is nice and breathable, haven't ever felt like I was overheating in it. Tilt and lock feature is especially nice. The arms are sturdy and go up, which is cool, but I've never really used this feature. My only problem with the chair has to do with the armrest cushions. The cushions are comfortable and positioned well, but after only a few days of using this chair one of the bolts (on the rear side) keeping the cushion in place stripped out or became loose, I'm not sure. After a couple more days it was both armrests. So now the cushions come up on the rear of the arm, wobble/wiggle a lot, and can make a sort of popping in and out sound when you apply pressure to them. Not a problem that ruins the chair, but is pretty annoying and kind of disappointing. There is no way of tightening the cushion back down that I've been able to figure out. Not sure if its a defect in design or just the chair I got. This may have been something that I could have gotten replacement arms or a whole new chair for, but it wasn't really a big enough issue to go through the hassle of taking care of for me, I guess.Other than the arm rest issue, its a nice chair, though nothing all that special about it. I am actually shopping for something else, as I had a high back before and figured I didn't need that extra luxury, but after a few months of using this low one I'm switching back. If you had something high back or with a headrest it may be something you end up missing with this chair. Would maybe give 3.5 stars if not for the armrest thing

this is actually a very nice chair- for anyone under 150lbs or so
Despite having to send this back for a refund, this is actually a very nice chair- for anyone under 150lbs or so. I'm tall and weigh about 220, enough to make a "flat tire" out of the seat within a few days. Once flattened it did not bounce back. The mesh back is sturdy, the arms cast aluminum. The base is plastic/nylon. The bottom of the seat is wood with bonded leather outer shell. Bonded leather doesn't really last for more than a few years, google it for more information. The tilt and height adjustment hardware is very sturdy and capable. The seat is comfortable when not flattened.Office Star actually makes a chair at a higher price point that seems to address some of this chairs shortcomings. Lasted 3 years
I used this chair for 3 years and really liked it. Then one day, it started loosing the hydraulic lift, I would drop down and need to readjust my chair higher again. I put up with this for a while but then it finally wouldn't stay up anymore. I will buy it again though. It's comfy.
