I will like to start off by saying that DOORBOX is one of the best investments I have made because it gives me peace of mind. This is the number one reason I am giving this product 5 – stars. It has been a long time since I have written a review for any product. I am usually too busy to write a review or didn’t find a product worth my time to write a review. I found this product worth my time. I wanted to write this review in February but became seriously ill to where it was difficult for me to work, drive, or just walk outside to get my mail (especially if the sun was out). I had to wait for my son to get off work to bring in my mail, packages, and groceries. I did not have to worry about my packages or groceries while on bed rest. It was a relief to feel that my orders were safe and secured in the DoorBox. Now that I am feeling better, working from home, and have been using DoorBox for a little over two months (since January 11, 2021), I feel comfortable working, leave my house for an appointment, or just relax and pick up my packages at the end of the day. I know my packages will be safe and protected from the package trolls who love to visit my neighborhood to take our packages. The DoorBox even made my children feel so secure, they started to send their packages to my house to use the DoorBox. I love this product for the following reasons: 1. I finally have peace of mind knowing that my packages are safe and protected. 2. It is easy to assemble (it took me less than ten minutes) 3. Most of my deliveries are place nicely in my DoorBox and locked by the delivery drivers to protect my purchases from package trolls. 4. The security cable attached to the box will sound a loud alarm if anyone attempts to cut, remove, or tamper with the box. 5. The box has instructions in pictures and in writing for the delivery drivers on how to open and relock the container (this keeps it simple. I put my code in my written instructions on how to deliver the package and hopefully they will follow. 6. The cable can be attached to the door handle, wall, or pillar on your porch. 7. The DoorBox is Weatherproof and materials he used in the design of the box, security cable and lock for the box, and the alarm system is top-notch (it is excellent). The combination code is easy to set 8. The quality of the box is worth the price (I feel I have the better end of the deal). Although Amazon replaced order that was stolen, other companies will not. 9. The DoorBox can be easily moved on the cable because it has wheels. 10. ***The inventor of this program has many videos to help you assembles and use the box I will like to thank whoever designed this box. Thank you for the peace of mind and for helping me find a solution to my problem. I would like to ask one thing. Please design a bigger box. I am going to encourage my children to purchase their own box, but that of course falls on deaf ears. I know other family and friends are planning to order their own. I promise to be first in line when you do. I am very pleased with your product The Con: I can't wait for the box to be bigger. It fits all of my orders, but my family decided to use my box. I may need to purchase one for their birthday... that is an idea (or make them purchase one of their own).

This box is very necessary when living in the city. Not very incognito but is still useful. Pro: Most delivery personnel use correctly -- may be beneficial to indicate to actually place the delivery in the bin (i.e. Address line1: 1234 Street Rd Address line2: Blue Bin). Remember to put lock code in instructions! Packages are protected from stealing and weather. Con: The number dial does rust over time making un/locking after package delivery/retrieval difficult. I have been using the box for about 3 years but during a recent move, I lost a piece to the locking mechanism (to lock the whole box to a stationary object). The owner was very helpful in communication and replacement of the product. He took the time to follow up during holidays and call to confirm all discussion points before shipment of replacement. In full transparency for anyone reading and/or may need a replacement part: Although I offered to cover cost for the replacement; they offered to cover with the contingency I write this HONEST review. Additionally, they required the review be posted before shipment. Update: The owner and employees are very sincere and care greatly about communication and customer satisfaction. Received the replacement with install being easy using videos provided by the owner. I would recommend this company/product to many.

JANUARY 25, 2024 - UPDATE In the last month or so, most deliveries were delivered and secured as requested. Today, the latch broke off when I opened the box to retrieve a properly secured delivery. I am replacing it with a hasp and digital or mechanical digital padlock. The luggage dial combination lock has produced the following errors by delivery personnel: 1. Left latched with the combination changed in error. 2. Lock left latched with the combination exposed. 3. Lock left unlatched. 4. Package left on top of box 5. Package left near box. 6. Box avoided or ignored altogether. This is not being sarcastic. It is an otherwise excellent product. The impractical lock-type makes it worth no more than $49.99 USD.

Update, I am so impressed with this company‘s customer service. Apparently the owner has been trying to reach out to me for the past 10 days since they saw the review, they went above and beyond to try to contact me I have no words for how impressed I am, also they’re sending me a replacement and this is so fast, so not only do they have great customer service and do they stand behind their product but they also move fast Once the replacement comes I will give another update. Today is August 10th. Well I am a home-based small business and I do a lot of outgoing shipping therefore I purchased this for USPS pick ups, it’s only been a couple of months and I’m having issues, today the alarm started going off out of nowhere, it had to be totally turned off which kind of defeats the purpose the lock is also getting extremely hard to spin, I was trying to find a way to reach out to the seller however I couldn’t find one, I do want to say that it worked great at first, I had no complaints and have been pretty happy. This is very disheartening, it does say that it’s waterproof however I feel like the rain has been an issue, I think the moisture in the air has caused some sort of malfunction. It doesn’t get direct sunlight or direct reign of any sort it’s under an overhang in a pretty safe spot. I’m hoping the seller sees this and rectifies This situation for me. I am more than willing to change my review. I am also going to see if I can jump on the PC and look them up so that I can possibly email them

So, I just moved and I LOVE my new place in Philadelphia! The only thing is, how in the heck do folks in these fabulous row houses receive packages when they’re not there... or when they’re in the shower... or when they don’t hear the doorbell? And how are packages not stolen?! Well, turns out a lot of packages are just point blank stolen. I searched for the perfect package drop box. Three boxes called out to me on Amazon. The other two looked like they had a lot of space, but not really. They’d only fit one or two packages at a time. (What can I say? I get a lot of packages.) They also needed to be secured to the sidewalk. And I’m not sure that’s even legal. THEN I FOUND DOORBOX. OMG! So, turns out there’s a NEW company on the proverbial block! The DoorBox was engineered and founded by Kumar Sundaresan, and it * is * perfect!!! * It’s got lots of space for multiple packages. * It comes with an adjustable bolt lock that attaches to your door knob, the wall or an iron railing (like I did)! * It can be placed out in the morning and taken in when packages arrive. OR you can do like I’ve done and just set it out and leave it, cause it looks so cute! * Also, if anyone tries to tamper with it, a loud alarm scares them away. * Finally, the weatherproof DoorBox features a combination lock that protects your packages until you can pick them up! You just include the combination in your delivery address and deliverers have all they need! The DoorBox has gotten super high marks from my delivery people! They’ve gushed over how much space it has and how easy it is to use. I don’t usually gush over stuff, but hey—adults need their toys, too! Lol! I love my DoorBox! It’s taken a huge weight off my shoulders. I know the gifts that my family and friends are sending over the holidays are safe. That matters. My DoorBox came super quick and it was easy to assemble. Plus, when I had a question, I called the support number in the instructions and the actual inventor, talked me through it! Seriously. If you live in a house, get your DoorBox.

The box is 100% fine. Sturdy, easy assembly, etc. What gives this product such low ratings is the fact that out of 10 deliveries I had, only one delivery person put my package inside the box and it was my neighbor. I updated all the carriers delivery instructions to use the box and no one cares. This product is too expensive to not work the way it’s intended to. So this product is only as good, as the delivery person willing to follow instructions.

We actually bought into DoorBox during its crowdfunding phase and had a first generation DoorBox which has served dutifully for a couple of years and through literally hundreds of deliveries. Ours is attached to a pole at the corner of our front porch, in view of our security camera. Not once has anyone even tried to look in- and yet we've had neighbors report package thefts, car breakins and all kinds of other thefts within the neighborhood. I bought it long before COVID was ever something we thought about, but the world has changed to a delivery architecture and the DoorBox is perfectly positioned for that world. Helps insulate groceries- identifiable color makes for easier directions to delivery people. Just put the code in the gate code section. Most delivery people have no problem with it and even ask me about it. I've had a number of delivery drivers ask me about it, take pictures, and sometimes stop and use it as a bench while sorting out packages for the building. Overall it has been one of the most fortuitous purchases we made- and it was time to upgrade into some of the features of the current generation. Although I've only had this particular unit for a week, it is at least as good as the first, which has become a trusted friend in this pandemic and gives us some peace of mind which is hard to come by anymore.

The lock is jammed. Its been sitting in 25F weather for 3 days and now the lock is jammed. Idk if the weather is relevant. I can’t spin the numbers. I have to use a hammer or wedge to slide the unlock button, but then it doesnt go back in the lock position without using a wedge again Edit: It eventually came loose again. Sometimes it is jammed, sometimes it is not. Also, with ownership of a few months now through rain and a couple winter storms, the shape is warped. Besides all that, its been fine. Amazon and UPS workers drop off the packages. Sometimes they don’t, but most of the time they do.
