Fantastic true dual hose unit - great performance
Powerful unit with dual hose - true dual. This is my third (sadly) AC unit portable that I have purchased in three years. That’s not a good track record for me however, this one is a winner.I had two other units by another national brand and they were single hoses. What a joke they are. They just don’t work to cool a room no matter what. The biggest issue with single hose units is the pressure gradient that is created within the room. The single hose units will never actually cool your room properly and all have a max amount of air they can cool effectively. Essentially you end up cooling the same air that it cycles. Science aside it’s easy to understand why this becomes a problem. In dual hose your pulling air outside through the unit to dump ice cold air inside while leaving the pressure in the room stable. It makes so much sense. The other thing with this unit is the noise level. I had other units that were just simply unbearable even though they said “quiet operation!”.Finally - performance - 98 outside and medium level humidity - inside I have an ice cold 70 degree room.Winner.

Very powerful, but yeah, the window seal sucks
This machine will cool your space very quickly, but be aware that the mounting bracket provided is pretty porous to air. You will almost certainly want to patch the gaps with some kind of tape or additional insulation. This can be done in an aesthetically pleasing way, and I'm happy to do so, because the machine is otherwise effective.

Not supported by Honeywell or their partner "Helen of Troy"
If you want Honeywell to support this product you will be disappointed. They have pushed this off onto an organization called "Helen of Troy" which is a partner reseller. Their website lists support by category and these are:Air PurifiersHumidifiersFansHeatersSince Portable Air Conditioners do not fit any of these categories, you will be left in the cold. The reason I needed support is that theremote is very unreliable. Some times I have to push a button tenor more times before the unit responds to a command. But besides this issue, it is really a pretty good unit. At first it seemedI couldn't make the touch panel work and that's why I was dependingon the remote so much. You have to know exactly where the touchsensitive places are. Once you know where they are they work prettywell. There aren't many 2-hose portable systems out there but theyare the only ones to consider. I would recommend this unit. I justhope I never have to get support again. Honeywell doesn't like havingto communicate with their customers.

Loud and doesn't work well
Much to my sadness, this product does not live up to expectations. There are numerous issues with this. The packaging is terrible and will probably be somewhat opened when you receive it. This is due to the weight and bulkiness of the product, as well as their choice on how to package it. It's essentially a "cover" that goes over a cardboard base. So it is easy to separate cover and base. Additionally, they don't provide any means of grabbing onto it via opening that can serve as handles (probably due to the cover base design). You really need to lift it from the bottom. But we know this isn't realistic to expect this from the carriers (nor should it be). Also be careful when you open it because things will fall out due to how they decided to package it.There are three main issues I have encountered with this product.1. The plastic panel that goes into the window and holds the hoses is a terrible design. I had to jam it into my window to fit since it was a bit too thick. There is a sliding extension panel held in place with a wing nut that is laughable because the smaller sliding piece has a height differential with the main piece where you will have large gaps. If you want a tighter seal around the window, you'll need to get some foam.2. The unit is loud. I measure it at 54dB. Despite what one of the answers from Honeywell where they indicate 53dB is the "average level of conversational sound between two people in a quiet room", what they fail to mention is that this means it would some what cancel out the conversational sound between two people in a quiet room. If you want to do anything that involves sound you will be having to speak louder or turn up volumes.3. And the biggest issue since ... it's the "job" of the unit. It is ineffective at cooling. Only once have I gotten it below 78 when it was hot outside. And in this one case it went to 76. However for the most part, it's stuck at 78. My theory here is that as one hose is drawing in air from the outside, it is in fact drawing in hot air. Right now it is about 88 degrees outside. I took the temp of both hoses. Guessing that the intake is 85.9. But the out hose is 122.8, so it is clearly working hard. For those wanting to play with roulette with this piece of trash, consider this. The thing is heavy. So returning will not be fun (unless they pick it up). Unfortunately my initial tests were when it wasn't overly hot outside, so it performed "okay". I kept it since it seemed to perform "okay" and as I carried this up 3 flights of stairs, it lead me to not really want to go through the effort of returning it. But now that we are in hotter weather, my return window has closed. Yes, keeping it was my fault. This being said, learn from my mistakes. I wasted my money on this product ... don't waste yours.

Good AC unit for the money.
Works as other portable AC units i have bought. With the exception that having 2 hose pulls air from out side to evaporate water rather then from the room. This helped to cool down the room without pulling conditioned air. Installation was easy with printed instruction inside and on the box just in case. I would buy again.

good Cooling, Installation Annoyances
This is an effective air conditioner. The casters make it mobile. set up, while not difficult is hampered by a flimsy bracket. Be prepared to insulate. The other issue is the hoses. The dual hose system is practical but the hoses should be longer than four feet. Got it done but with some frustration. But it has been working reliably since then. The remote is easy to use. overall this is a decent unit.

Horrible window brackets
This product works good and is quiet but the brackets they give you for the window have to be cut. In order for it to nicely sit in my window I had to put the slider pieces on both sides. I have brand new windows and the unit does not fit inside the window good at all. I also have to raise it up 3 feet for the hoses to reach my window. Not a good seal at all. The unit also does not compare to a standard window unit with cooling capability, but i can't fit a big enough window unit in my window so I had to settle
