I bought this lock because our dead bolt on our main front door to home stopped latching, so we were unable to lock door properly when going to bed. We also have a one year old who has figured out how to open doors. But I can tell you now if I could give this 10 stars I definitely would. Its very simple and easy to install as well as use. We definitely lay down at night knowing we are safe and secure. Unless someone hooks a truck to your door they're definitely not getting in. Hahaha!!!!

Good quality, definitely keeps child from being able to open the door. Also not being able to open it when locked is nice. Easy to assemble too.

Install took 1/2 hr with everything ready. Dry fit lock by hand to ensure correct placement on door moulding and jam. Mark with pencil on moulding. Open door and mark 4 spots for screws. Drill center first & install screw. Adjust & close door to ensure lock pad sits on door. Once set, drill in other 3 screws. Use pilot hole first. Done. Works and easily opens when not in use. Made my wife operate it also.

Absolutely a game changer for being safe. These installed very easy. Looks just fine with my door, comes in several and I bought 3 different colors. Seamless, didn't take up any space to open and close doors. Very secure.
