20 (8 oz.) New York Strip Steaks

This was surprisingly good. My order came in a timely fashion and was packaged well. The quality of the steaks were excellent, This was my second order and I will order again, especially since I’m eating a high protein diet these days. The price is reasonable for the amount you receive. These are not your little hard dried up tough cuts you usually get from others.

I got these as a gift for my uncle. He said they came fully frozen still had dry ice in the package. And he said the steaks were delicious no gristle or waste. I got the strip steak. As that is my favorite cut. I will be buying this again for him.

Steak had good flavor. Had more fat than I anticipated. Not very good quality though. Was only about 1/2 thick after cooking though. Easily overcooked it and it was only on stove for 5 minutes total.

Ordered on Nov 27th, received on Dec 6th. Took longer than expected, but once I got the notification that the steaks had shipped, it was only three days. Apparently this company does not ship on weekends, so that must account for the time it took. They arrived very well packaged and still frozen. I did research in different cuts of steak and was surprised to find that the NY Strip steak is the most tender portion of the animal, not T Bone of PorterHouse, or any of those expensive cuts. I moved to Nevada 26 years ago from the Midwest, and have not had a decent steak since I moved here, it's been disappointing! So I am hoping I've found the solution. These look well marbled and are thick, maybe and inch and a half, they are not huge steaks, 8oz after all, but that's big enough for a nice meal of steak, salad, and baked potato....yum. I have my first one thawing right now, and will update after eating it. Bon Appitite! Taste Review: After having my first steak, here are my thoughts. If you are reading negative reviews about these steaks, consider this, the way you prepare the steak will have an effect on how good it is. I made mine on the stove top after marinating it in sea salt at room temperature for about 45 minutes. Rinsed the sea salt off and put it in a hot skillet with virgin olive oil. Cook on one side until it caramelized about 4 or 5 minutes, then turned 1 time only, until the other side was the same about 4 minutes. If you are unsure, watch some YouTube videos about how to pan fry a steak the proper way. My steak was medium rare and slightly crisp on the outside. Flavor and tenderness were great. Yes, there is a small amount of gristle, but nothing like some of these reviews say. Most steaks have some, no big deal. Overall, very flavorful and I would order again, can't wait to try them on the grill!

This was an impulse buy. Popped up under one of my regular purchases. Read reviews, took the plunge. Came very quickly, in a day, still had a bunch of dry ice, and thawed one for supper. We usually share a steak, so, I fixed it with homemade roadhouse seasoning in a hot skillet with great olive oil and a pat of butter. 4 min. on side one, then 2 min. on side 2. Came out nicely crusted, rested for a few minutes, then served. After discussing which half each of us wanted, we made our selections. Turned out perfectly. Done to a nice medium. Served with fresh Caesar Salad with homemade Caesar Dressing and a big pot of herbed, buttered mashed potatoes. Tender, buttery texture, not thin, nice size, tasted exactly like an excellent New York Strip should. We will be getting these again. I needn't have worried about this purchase. Great in every way. Nice surprise.

At one time they were good steaks. Lots of gristle and fat. You’ll trim a 1/3 of the weight away.

While the steaks have a good flavor and are fairly tender, there is a good amount of gristle on the outside of the steaks that should be trimmed before selling. I lost about 9 to 10 oz. trimming 6 steaks. I ordered several boxes and sent them to coworkers and was disappointed in the quality. Highly doubt I would order again or recommend. I can get better steaks at a better price from my local grocery store.
