Great product!!!
This a great product! Very well made, love that you can adjust size width wise. Maybe for next product, it can incorporate adjustment for length as well? No complaints at all though! Instead of using razor, I tried it with my babyliss trimmer and my goatee came out perfect! Thank you!!!

It works! Great product.
I didn’t realize this was something I needed until I got it.The product was easy to setup and it makes it super easy to have a well shaped goatee. I’d recommend it!

Almost perfect!
This has been a great product. Before this, I had to guess how far to shave my goatee on all sides. The hardest part for me was always the bottom of my goatee and lately it was looking bad so I thought I would give this product a chance. I found out that I wasn't really doing a great job on my own! I had to grow a strip of hair on my right side because I had always shaved that too much. The bottom took awhile to grow back in evenly too. I like to comb my goatee down when I put this on and then shave any hairs that stick out. It really gives a straight edge. I don't have a very thick goatee, which I wish I could grow, but at least the shape of it is correct now.Cons:I have to make this as wide as it will go for the shape I want. Luckily it is wide enough for me. The problem is that the plastic screws hold ok, but since I have them so tight sometimes I will accidentally touch them and they will screw back in on me. If I wasn't paying attention I could mess up my goatee if this happened (shave too much). The wider you spread it, the bigger of a gap there is on the bottom. I thought maybe it would be ok and the first time I used it I carefully shaved the bottom of my goatee and tried to miss the gap. Well...when I was done I somehow had shaved that gap too! I had about a half inch spot missing in the bottom of my goatee. Luckily my hair was long enough to cover it while it grew back in. To solve this problem I put a band-aid across the bottom to fill in that gap. I wish they had built a plastic flap that could be used to cover that area if you wanted a wider goatee...I don't know if this is a con, but when I first started growing a goatee I was told and read that you normally have sharp edges to it. So it is like a box, straight down on the side and straight across. That is how I always did it. This will give you rounded edges. I don't really mind but thought I would mention it.Summary:I do like it. It has made my goatee look better and with a few adjustments and being cautious, it works well.

Helpful, but not great.
I've been sporting a goatee for a while now, and I mean a true goatee without the moustache. I like to keep it pretty tight, lining up with the corners of my mouth... maybe slightly wider. It can be a hassle to eyeball it when first trimming it (I've gone through several iterations, including a "Klingon" version that starts just above the corners of the mouth) and I thought the Goateesaver would be a handy product for getting things even when I first trim it after starting a new one and then keeping things neat and aligned without a lot of eyeballing and fussing. The main problem is the device is simply too large for using as a guide for a nice, tight goatee (again, a true goatee... no moustache). With it closed all the way down, it might be useful for a wide Van Dyke (moustache with goatee not connected) or a wide circle beard (what most people commonly mean when they say "goatee"), but for my face it would still be too wide. Still, it would be at least useful for shaving away the excess without a lot of fuss and worry about taking off too much. Then you could tighten it up from there. Bear in mind, I'm 6' and don't consider myself to have a particularly narrow face. So the Goateesaver is probably definitely not for a lot of smaller guys out there unless they have wider faces. You may also want to use a hand mirror to check the lines in profile. The Goateesaver is angled in profile view, so if you're shooting for a more vertical terminal line on your circle beard then you'll have to fix it up yourself. But, again, the device can at least get you started.Overall, it has its uses, and is probably great for those guys that it does fit well. For others it may not be narrow enough for routine upkeep. But if you go back and forth it can help you get your circle beard, Van Dyke, or even true goatee started off easily.

Best return on my money of anything on Amazon I have ever purchased.
I was just explaining to a colleague how I shave my goatee and looked my purchase up to show them. I have been using this for ten years. This is the best $25 I have ever spent. I used to try to make my goatee even and straight and always ended up with the really small patch because I could never get it right. (If you know, you know). I cannot begin to tell you how great this product is. It looks silly but it just works.
