Ionian (Ionian: Corfu, Levkas, Cephalonia, Zakinthos and the adjacent mainland coast to Finakounda)

I guess the moment these things go to print they are out of date but some of the destinations have changed very substantially from what was shown. This can be a real let down when a 'quiet little visited destination' is actually teeming with day trippers blocking the beach and/or flotillas taking up every inch of the quay. Nevertheless a great companion that opens up a world of beautiful spots to visit.

The book has got a lot of incorrect information. The authors question historical facts presenting their own interpretation without any reference or supporting documents. There are inaccurate translations from Greek assuming the reader will not be able to read the original text. Overpriced for the value.

This is a great pilots book, it adds value and helps to sail a vessel though the described areas! Totally recommend buying it!For improvement, I wish they could have added more photos and hints on certain anchorages and also on tours or additional information like restaurants and further details where to park the boat exactly in a bay and less the harbours - rather more the alternatives. Maybe for the next revision?!

You can always count on Heikell, and it is really so good that we shall have new updated editions every now and then. Bought a while ago number nine.Of course, it is nice that there are books for smaller area than the whole Greece. You don’t need to carry “the bible” Greek Waters Pilot if you are sailing only in Ionian Sea. Smart, indeed!

missing pages 167 to 182, kind of annoying as we only found out when nearing cephalonia. Looks like a bad print run but no option to return available now
