makes great gluten free sourdough starter
I bought this to make a gluten free sourdough starter. It worked great but a little to high maintenance for me at this time. The texture is rice texture. Nothing more nothing less. There was no odor other than the sourdough smell which was heavenly! I keep all my GF flours in the fridge or freezer to prevent weevels. When I am ready I will definitely buy again to get the sourdough starter going again and diligently daily pay closer attention to it!

Another Bob's Red Mill good product!
Decided the Nut Thins from the Almond folks was getting too expensive at over $5 a box and not much content, so looked at the ingredients and found the Multi grain ones included brown rice flour. Come to the rescue - Bob's Red Mill. Was well ground fine rice flour and as usual packaged well. Have not found an inferior product from Bob's and at the 4 pack, 3 went into a freezer page, vacuum packed and will be ready when I have exhausted the first bag. Since buying it, have found a few more recipes which have really worked out as well.... btw - nailed it on a comparable Nut Thin cracker!! A healthier option without compromising flavor or texture. A good value!

I've tried another brand of brown rice flour but it was gritty. This is very finely ground so can recommend.

Another good quality Bob’s products
Use this to make cakes and other non gluten food. It is good for thickening in your soup or stir fry vegetables. Quite versatile and good taste of brown rice.
