Quality & a BARGAIN!
This is usually 3x the few £s I'm paying for it and it's as good quality as any expensive Ghee out there! Using this to cook with makes a huge difference to the flavour of the final product, especially when making a curry!

Not really a replacement for butter ghee, and it's unethical
Not really a good substitute for normal butter ghee. I purchased this for the need to cook curry for a vegan, and I had read that vegetable ghee has a flavour as good as normal ghee. This vegetable ghee is quite hard and doesn't scoop out as easily as butter ghee, in fact it's a bit of a pain. It tends to smoke a bit when you are frying with it, and gives off a little bit of an unpleasant smell to my nose, though it seems perfectly fine in the finished dish. But it's just very tasteless, and doesn't replace butter ghee on the flavour front.Also be aware that this is a palm oil product, and is totally unethical because of the destruction of South East Asian forest habitat for orang-utans to grow the palms. Stick with standard vegetable oil if you are cooking vegan.

I now know why palm oil is so popular, it is wonderful stuff...but sadly won't be buying anymore of this, as it is yes, palm oil!

No lid again
I like having a vegan option of butter so I am buying these regular now. My only issue is I have only ever got a lid once. I cannnot open my recent purchase, as I have to go buy a lid from somewhere else so I can store it. (what is happening in the packaging dept?)
