Good clay mask, not a miracle worker
I bought a tub of this a while ago because of all the hype online. Having struggled with very oily skin my entire life, I've tried several clay masks in my day, all with pretty much the same results: they have "dramatic" short-term effects (your pores appear smaller right after you wash it off) and then your skin returns to normal a few hours later.I'm no dermatologist but I try to listen to the experts as much as possible. What most of them agree on is that it's highly unlikely that any mask, no matter how good, will actually deep-clean your pores and "remove all the gunk" from your blackheads, which is what clay masks claim to do. Most of them just exfoliate, which results in smoother-looking, more luminous skin.Having said that, I've had a pleasant experience with this mask. I appreciate the sheer volume of product, and something about the DIY method of preparing it makes it fun to use when you have time to pamper yourself. A little goes a long way, so this tub will last you for a while (and at an affordable price, I'd say it's quite the steal). I've tried it with both apple cider vinegar and water, and neither irritated my skin too much. I didn't mind the pulsating sensation I got when the mask started drying, but I can see how it could make some people uncomfortable. The one downside is the cleanup: it takes a couple of minutes to wash it off (and clean all the residue in your sink).Piece of advice: moisturize rigorously after use, as the clay and vinegar will seriously dry you out.

Amazing
Loving this. Really does pull oils and dirt from pores. Dries fast and makes my skin feel really soft after use. May be a bit much for sensitive skin though. It’s going to last a very long time as you only need to use a small amount of the powder to make enough mask for your whole face.

Ok but not the holy grail it's marketed to be
I like this stuff, easy to use but very messy. It ok, I've noticed some changes. However, performance wise it is not the all mighty pore cleanser it's cracked up to be. It drys quickly and tingles and pulsates somewhat. A quick Google search tells me that pulsating is blood rushing to the surface, which explains the accute redness, not the pores been unclogged. Smell is ok, like mud ... Obviously! Would I buy it again? Nó!

Pores be gone!
Sceptical at first. However, even after the first use I noticed my pores were smaller and less blackheads! For context, I am a 32 year old woman with combination, acne prone skin. I have struggled all my teen/adult life with large pores, blocked comedones and dull skin. I use this twice a week alongside a simple skincare routine consisting of a cleanser, retinol and moisturiser. Its definitely effective as i've noticed a considerable difference in my skin texture. As someone who has tried literally everything (skin care wise) I would recommend this. The only thing I would say is that it dries quickly so try not to leave it on longer than 5 minutes as it can cause skin redness but this does go away in a few hours. Also, make sure to use a moisturiser as it can be slightly drying! Great value for money and will last me a very long time as only a little product is needed.
