Needs one tweak...
These are sturdy and durable. I can fit many student files in one. It is nice that they can be closed as I have been known to upend my pull cart and neglect putting on the rain cover. I am in and out of school buildings all day in all kinds of weather. The one design flaw is that the portion of the flap that wraps over the tops of the files is narrower than the width of the bottom. So when completely full of files creating a rectangular solid mass of files - the top wants to tent up to a point rather than span the entire width of the files. So the cover flap doesn't reach all the way to the bottom and the elastic bands will wear more quickly as they are stretched more than intended. If not filled to capacity, this is not a problem. I still find them nearly perfect and will be buying more. Wish they came in larger sizes.

Durable and Convenient For Holding Projects
I use these for projects: to cluster documents, folders, pamphlets, objects, and notebooks all of which have different shapes and sizes. By putting the different stuff inside this they stay altogether and nice. There are situations like this where a hanging folder or manilla folders or other containers just do not suffice. These expand so they can be small or fat depending on how much stuff you have inside them. The plastic is durable and will repel water. The cloth edges are soft and durable. I am very pleased with these. By using different colors you can remember which project is which by color. They are also translucent so if you put a cover sheet on the interior of the front and back you can see through to read what you wrote to know which project this is. Oddly I was not able to find something like this at local office stores so I am thankful Amazon carried them.Rated 5 stars = I Love It.

Fantastic! Durable
I cannot express just how happy I am with these!!!!! I have stuffed them full of things including a chromebook, and they are still holding together. I have them organized for Mon-Fri by rainbow colors (which my inner child is happy with as well) and since there are no plastic pockets inside (which I like), I have put separate manilla folders in them. I am an itinerant Deaf Education teacher, which means that I travel between schools to visit with kids. So, I have an individual folder for each kid that I see, with their notes and any other items (thin books, magazine pictures, construction paper flash cards, printouts) ready in the folders, and the folders for the kids I see on Monday are all in the Monday folder. As I plan for the week or upcoming days, I put items in the folders. Then, in the morning, I can grab it and go. I've used them for 3 months now. The only wear and tear is a metal corner fell off of one of them, I put it back on. No biggie. I anticipate them lasting at least a year or more.

Spacious, hold up great
I got these to haul around books of sheet music for several people, a different folder color-coded for each person. These things have held up amazingly over the past year despite being treated rather roughly, and are still in near-perfect shape. They're roomy and can hold the our oversized sheet music without difficulty. My only nitpick is that there isn't really a pink folder as shown in the picture; instead I received a reddish-orange one, which is only slightly different hue from the orange one. It's not a big deal, but I wish the colors had matched the picture more accurately.

This folder works great for keeping my 7th grader's binders and school papers ...
This folder works great for keeping my 7th grader's binders and school papers all together. I bought one in every color thinking he could use one per subject but they are too large for that. Instead, he uses one to hold a binder, spiral notebook, library book, etc. and whatever else he would have otherwise just crammed into his backpack. So far, it's a good system. I also like that there is a business card size pocket in the front. He used to lose everything and/or leave his binder and papers everywhere, so we put a piece of paper in that pocket with his name, teacher, and class schedule. He made it through the 1st 9 weeks without a single lost assignment so I think its working.

These are as sturdy as expected
These are as sturdy as expected. I gave it 4 stars because it is inconvenient to put in my bag and look in it everytime I need. I have to pull it out when I would rather keep it in the bag and get what I need. This would be more convenient on the go. Otherwise, they are great. Also, they are heavy when loaded and carrying more than one.Hope this helps

Built to last!
I bought these to sort and carry my student's work. Each section I teach has a color.I was impressed with the quality! The binding and expansion fold is fabric. The corners have metal protection. The elastic on mine was in good condition.I received one of each color:RedOrangeYellowGreenBluePurpleThe picture shows pink, but it is red. The Orange is pretty close in color to the red, but it's more orange.

Filexec folders will last for years
Very pleased to find these on Amazon. I have one I bought several years ago that's still going strong but I can no longer find this item in stores. The black bottom and sides are made of thick, tough fabric and the bottom corners are reinforced with metal. These expanding files can easily adjust to carry a small stack of papers or a large, multi-sectioned report. The cloth sides and elastic band closure makes that possible.Sometimes I use these to carry papers and office supplies for meetings (pen, pencil, business cards, resumes, folders, notepads, etc.)The colors are wonderful too!

Solid product
These folders have been purchased on 2 separate occasions for the fact that they are heavy duty material. No complaints.
