1x conversion
I did a cheap 1x9 conversion on an old bike. A Jamis exile 2. This works perfectly. I kept the stock rear mech, shortened the chain and slapped this on. No dropped chains after 5 miles of mild trails. I'll follow up after a bunch more miles.A strong point for this ring is the fact that I didn't need a chainring tool to install it. Only needed the tool (or a wide screwdriver) for removal of the stock chainring. If this info is included in the item description I overlooked it. The provided chainring bolts have tabs that lock in place. Winning bigly. If you're looking to do the el cheapo 1x conversion as I did, prepare to use spacers between the chainring and the crank.[Edit]After about 50 miles of single track not a single dropped chain w/ stock rear mech and cassette. Be sure to have an assortment of spacers when tuning.

Nicer than the equivalent RaceFace
Super nice surface finish compared to RaceFace's chainring which was cheaply machined, plus it comes with hardware, plus it's $19 cheaper. Triple win for me. It also keeps the square tooth profile like the original SRAM chainrings, which RaceFace eschews for some reason.Unlike the SRAM chainrings, this one integrates spools so you only have one fastener at each leg instead of two that pinch from either side. Seems to work fine and it's a simpler design. It also has a small 2mm offset that allows the chain to clear the mounting star despite being smaller than SRAM's minimum 32t size. Has no effect on my 11 sp setup.

I like it
My winter bike is a 1 x 9 origin8 amarok xlt. I've had it for two years. During that time I have never used first gear, and second gear only once. I am not a nuts type mountain biker, but also first gear seemed like it must be so low that I couldn't even ride the bike that slow without tipping over. The amarok is a 32 tooth ring so I wanted to try a 34 narrow wide. This has made the difference in gearing that you would expect. If I pedal really really fast in first gear now I don't tip over. The ring gear on the amarok seemed to be made of stamped sheet steel. Very sturdy and had not weared much. All the teeth on the amarok steel ring were narrower than the narrow teeth on the fifty fifty which seems to be a single machined piece of aluminum alloy. The teeth on the 50 50 were longer than the origin8 teeth.I've not run the new gear very far yet, it is noiser than the old gear, but the bike seems to shift better. Not sure that makes sense so maybe just my imagination? Perhaps I should try the dry lube powder or a different lube type (to quiet it down)?I will report back if there are any longevity problems.

Replaced my triple set
Since I rarely used my smallest or largest chainring, and only then out of curiosity, I decided to simplify my life by going to a single chainring. I was able to remove two chainrings, front derailleur, and front shifter and use this chainring for a net weight loss of 26 ounces. Also makes it a lot easier to keep the bottom bracket area clean. The new chainring is flat, lightweight, comes with the proper bolts and spacers, and runs straight and true.As another reviewer mentioned - if you have a triple set you will need to remove the right side crank to get the smallest chainring off. A crank puller comes in handy here.

No chain drop yet
I typically buy Raceface charings, but it seems as if I made a good choice here. The only thing that I had was when I first installed it, I had a sort of a grind noise to it when I would pedal. I rode it around my street for just a little bit and it finally went away. Once I hit the trails, it was all good and I did some heavy climbing and descending. Note: This is on a hard tail, so it has proven itself after the first 10 miles. I will update if I run into any issues.

Very happy with purchase
First off I haven't used any other brands of chain rings but read reviews and considered pricing. Didn't want the least expensive and didn't want to pay the for the most expensive. Fifty Fifty was a middle of the road chain ring and comes in a few colors and looks pretty cool ( very important). Installation was simple and it came with hardware. I noticed some chain noise but soon ran in with a few rotations by hand and is now very quiet. I liked so well I purchased a second Fifty Fifty chain ring. The drive train I'm now running is shimano 10 speed 11-42 cassette, shimano m6000 sgs and of course the Fifty Fifty 32t red chain ring and everything is running great.

Firm grasp on chain.
Seems like a good narrow-wide chainring that was key in upgrading my Tomac Cortez from a 3x9 to 1x12 drivetrain. So far no problems without chain guide. My YouTube video has parts list in description.

Outstanding
Used for a 1x conversion on my Kona Cinder Cone. Just got back from a ride on a very narly trail that drops 900ft over 1.8miles, very fast and very rough and it did not drop a chain. This is with an old school non-clutch Shimano 9 speed derailleur. I highly recommend this chain ring. Be sure not to over tighten the chainring bolts as both the chainring and bolts are aluminum.
