Blue Devil B7492 #2 Phenol Red (5-Way), 8 oz Bottle

The Blue Devil - Phenol Red arrived quickly and perfectly packed. The hardest part was breaking through (and removing) the top seal to open it! It was well sealed. I used some of the contents to test pool water immediately after it arrived and compared the results to the last of my "old phenol red". Same results hence I expect the product quality is precisely the same as previous purchases, BUT it is 1/3 the price! I am very happy, Thanks

Only takes 2 drops to do the test in my twin tube tester. (Comparing color with a new bottle of another brand). this bottle will last us 50 years but is a much better value than buying just 2 of those 3/4 ounce bottles

I bought this to replace the PH dropper that came with my Poolmaster twin chlorine/PH tester which required 5 drops of their included 3/4oz bottle. The red color in this product/brand is a "richer" red, and when I compared to my existing PH red dropper results, I needed to only use about 3 drops of this solution to get the comparable result. If I used 5 drops of this solution it was off the charts high...too red. Note, another user recently reported a similar (only 2 drops needed) as well.

What I can suggest is whatever test kit you use when your at your last test compare that result with fewer drops of this....my test calls for five drops and water tested at 7.2. With this I only needed 3. It's not rocket science just common sense.

Fantastic Value. Save yourself a lot of money and buy this when you run out of the little bottles in your kit. You can take the tops of the little bottles and fill them up with the same chemicals for loads less. Plus it works perfectly.

Easy to dispense

You will need about twice as many drops as the taylor equivalent product; but it is still cheaper.
