QmarkCWH1202DSF Commercial Electric Wall Mounted Heater, White

This is the 3rd purchase of similar simple basic set of two wall heaters intended to replace an earlier iteration of the wall heater that was a decade old. The 1st time it was the wrong size by one half inch; turns out there are numerous variations of what looks like the same product. So the 2nd time I sought the direct advice of the manufacturer and got a different product number that was supposed to be the exact replacement. Unfortunately it was the wrong voltage (120 vs 240) leading to a literal meltdown and nearly a fire. So the 3rd time I carefully quizzed the manufacturer and further educated myself by scouring their website. This time it is the correct size and voltage at 240. Now: getting it to properly operate. The old model had a numbered dial that allowed you to approximate a heat level that would be sensitive to the thermostat. This model appears to have a more basic on/off dial switch; and I am still trying to infer how hot it gets before it turns itself off. Due to vagaries in the house wiring, one was installed upside down to the other; this seems to affect the thermostat. The one in the bathroom will turn on and then off and so on to keep the keep the room an even warm temperature -- most of the time. The one in the living room seems to just keep heating to an uncomfortable level and I manually turn it off. So I need to call the manufacturer to see how best to use it. Right now, I won't leave them running when out of the house. One design feature is that their is a heat on feature before the fan engages, and fan on after the heater turns off to dissipate the stored heat.
