A well made knife and sheath
I had purchased a different tracker from a different maker and promptly sent it back because it was made so poorly. I saw this tracker and, being familiar with GCS, I gave it a go. I'm glad I did. The blade is made well. The grind is even. The sheath amazing for this price point. And it's very sharp. The blade thickness is near 3/16 and appears to be of a decent heat treat. The handle is a little small, but easy to get used to. The balance seems good. The saw back is good for shallow notches and does work. Don't try to saw anything in half. That's not what it's for. All in all I think the price was fair for what you get. I even ordered the hunter version. No saw. I do wish it was larger, but for an easy to carry utility blade, you really can't go far wrong.

Decently made, great price, but a few issues.
This is a decent blade, and a great price considering the authentic T-2 in nearly $200. (This is a T-2, by the way, Meaning 9” in length and not the full-sized 12”)The craftsmanship is really nice, and the blade has a good heft to it, though it is missing the sharpened “hook” of the original tracker. This can be corrected by sanding and honing, if you’ve got the time for that. The existing cutting edges are fairly sharp, though, and the draw knife cuts great. The back of the blade is missing the staggered teeth for notching (see original design) though it does an *ok* job of it.FYI: Trackers aren’t designed for “sawing.” Just sayin’.A bigger issue is that one of the notching teeth is cut out from the tip of the knife, which makes me think the tip might break there if thrown. This is a major flaw, and another missing feature from the original knife, which has a tip that is designed for drilling, as well as throwing/spearing.The sheath is equally good, and equally bad. It’s a nice thick material with a handsome finish, but it’s loop and snap that are designed to secure the knife has a superfluous second snap that stiffens the leather and creates a drag spot when trying to draw cleanly. It actually cuts into the loop, and the snap will even catch the blade, fouling your draw.It also makes it awkward and unnecessarily difficult to return the blade and snap the loop shut, as neither of the two snaps seems placed for closing. Instead, the placement seems to be an aesthetic decision to keep the snaps all on the same level plane as the belt snaps. Form over function, apparently. If you’re thinking of getting into a tracker blade and want to play with this one a bit before sinking $200 into a proper one, this is a good blade to start with. Maybe. It certainly *looks* the part. For me, I’ll be returning this one and getting the authentic T-1 so that I can properly learn to use this blade.

Love it!!
I received this knife in the mail today and right after I took it out, I threw it at my target slab and stuck right in. Then a tree near by. It did come sharp and oiled, but I sharpened it more. I like a razor sharp blade. So far, the sheath seems good and if not like some of the reviews say, I will just make a new one.

Beautiful and rugged!!!!!
Absolutely blown away on the quality and craftsmanship of this knife and sheath. I have knives that cost up to $320 and this one is very close in quality. Wasn't the sharpest knife on arrival but that's an easy fix. Would definitely recommend!

A very beautiful knife!
Easily the most beautiful knife I own. Fit and finish are great. The steel just looks wonderful and polished nicely. Attention to detail is amazing. Sheath is kind of crazy in design, lots going on but the quality is nice. My biggest issue with the knife is the grip, so very tiny (I have medium sized hands). The grip is designed for babies. If you just recently learned how to walk and need a great survival knife this is the knife for you. I hate giving this knife other than five stars because it is so gorgeous but that grip is almost comically small.
