Almost Perfect
He begins a bit plodding on the piano, but it picks up later, both when he plays and when he uses recordings of concert pianists. The history and bio's are select, but choice, and welcome, adding depth to the understanding of the music in its environment and time.

Fun to listen to and a font of information
Loved it, and I since bought several courses taught by Prof. Greenberg (Audible versions). Some I listened to twice...Very engaging delivery, funny bits, and I learned a lot! Which was the point.

Bombastic but fun
I have to admit, I was a little put off at first by the lecturer's loud, overly chatty and somewhat bombastic style, forced and long-winded analogies. and occasional slips into the vulgar. But once I got used to it, this course was a lot of fun. I also learned a lot, as the various music pieces presented are dissected and analyzed in terms of the composer's life and times. It was well presented, and a real eye opener for someone like me who studied the practical aspects of instrument playing without learning much about the composers for that instrument, and what they were trying to achieve. The music was wonderful, though I wished at time that there was less analysis and talking, and more playing. I also wish that instead of playing bits and pieces of a musical piece, they would play a lot more compositions end to end. Overall this is a great course, and i was sorry to see it end.
