Scissors are hard to use for younger children
You have to hold the scissors just right (Straight up and down) in order for them to cut but overall it is a nice product. My daughter loves all the pictures, just gets a little aggravated with not being able to hold the scissors the way she wants.

Great book!
My 4.5 year old loves the cutting and pasting activities in this book. We purchased several and this is his favorite one. Lots of fun pages like: cut out the aquarium and paste fish, sea horse, shells etc or cut out the cupcakes and paste candles and decorations. Big hit! We aren’t using the scissors that came with it - they aren’t awful - just an inexpensive pair and my son prefers his sturdy lefty scissors.

Full color cut and paste fun!
I bought this because the Melissa and Doug scissor books that I usually get were out of stock. I was very pleased with this book! You get 26 full color pages compared to 20 in Melissa and Doug. The weight of the paper made cutting easy for my preschooler. It included a variety of pictures instead of one theme. I thought the amount of pasting was a bonus! Really motivating for my little guy to work on those fine motor skills. He was so proud of his finished work!

Great resource
Daughter needed to practice her fine motor skills further but fines standard cutting skills activities boring and repetitive , I was looking for an activity she could practice these skills but still have fun and this is perfect. There’s lots of different shapes and patterns to cut out, often ones that are like puzzles so she can cut them out and then glue them back together or cut out the images and use them to make a scene / collage etc Great if your child is a little older and needs to practice these skills as it’s not too babyish. (It comes with toddler scissors that only cut paper too which is a bonus if you’re concerned about them cutting hair and clothing but we just used her normal scissors we already had at home!)

Good product for preschooler
My preschooler has enjoyed this scissor skills book and was so pleased to have her very own kid’s scissors. I feel pretty confident she does not need continuous supervision using the plastic paper cutting scissors and can use them safely. She still needs supervision to use metal-bladed scissors, so she enjoys the independence with these. I would recommend having a glue stick and maybe a scrap book or some construction paper on hand so your kid can make scenes with the cut outs.

Great tool for learning
I wanted to teach my 3 year old how to use scissors, so we got some Crayola scissors (after reading reviews here that these ones weren't great quality) and got this book. She LOVES IT. I love that the book has a natural kind of progression from easier to harder, that they can work forward with. The paper is nice and sturdy, but it also cuts well with safety scissors. So cute.
