LAOWA25mm f/2.8 2.5-5x Ultra Macro Lens for Canon RF

This is the second time I’ve tried this lens on a canon mount and it does not click into pin lock!!! So the moment you adjust magnification it pops off the body. Be careful !! The canon macro fits and clicks into place perfectly . This is garbage for canon mount 🤦🏿‍♂️

This is a fun lens I’ve added to my kit for extreme up close macro photography. Took a little bit of time to get used to, as it is a fully manual lens with no autofocus. I have both the Canon EOS R and R5 camera bodies, and got better, sharper results with the R5 probably due to in body stabilization. You will need either a flash or other light source like a lumecube, for any shot, especially at higher magnifications, as this lens requires a ton of light. A light diffuser also helps. Lastly, you will need to change the settings on your camera to allow the shutter to release without a lens attached. This lens doesn’t connect to the camera body, so any info on aperture is not captured in Lightroom. The media could not be loaded. First, the build quality is great but the sharpness is not that goodI tried to build a precise moving mount but the point of focus is very narrow even with the f22In my opinion, the lens is a nice choice but with a lower price
