Star Wars Black Series First Order Stormtrooper
If you’re like me, didn’t go to San Diego Comic Con, and or didn’t want to pay upwards of $100 to scalpers for the SDCC version of this First Order Stomtrooper, now you don’t have to. We finally get the affordable version of this figure, and though it’s missing the great packaging and armor booklet from the SDCC version, the figure and accessories are all the same.I really like the new trooper design, it is aesthetically in line with the Stormtroopers from Episodes IV, V, and VI, has a little bit of flare from the Clone Trooper days, and a sleek new look of it’s own. I think it’s my favorite of all the Trooper designs. I’m a massive Sandtrooper fan (I know, they’re just Stormtroopers with a pauldron on their shoulder and a backpack but they look awesome) so I’m hoping there is some version of a First Order Trooper that has a Sandtrooper look to him in Episode VII. Sorry, I’m geeking out, back to the figure. Articulation here is on point with the Stormtrooper and Clone Trooper figures we’ve gotten from the Black Series line so far. The paint applications are really clean, cleaner than on some of my Clone Troopers. I like that both the blaster rifle and pistol have black and white paint schemes to them, that were also applied well with minimal slop/bleeding. For such small pieces, that’s pretty impressive. I also like that which ever weapon you don’t have in the figures hand(s), you can attach via a peg on his right leg for a holstered look. The wait for Episode VII The Force Awakens is almost over. Today is Force Friday, as if I wasn’t excited enough, I had no idea these figures were coming out so far in advance. After seeing these new figures from the Black Series here on Amazon yesterday, I got them immediately. I’ve been waiting since before Comic Con this year to get my hands on a First Order Stormtrooper and now that wait is over, and it didn’t cost me a fortune. This figure and Kylo Ren are just really well done, some of my favorite figures from the entire Black Series line. This figure comes FULLY APPROVED.

The Force Awakens First Order Stormtrooper
This is the new First Order Stormtrooper from The Force Awakens. Really glad we got this figure in the first wave. It's a really nice figure. They used a nice, glossy white plastic which looks great. If only they used the same plastic on the OT Stormtrooper figure. The joints feel pretty solid and not gummy. Overall a great looking figure. He stands at roughly 6.1" tall, a touch taller than the OT Stormtrooper.Accessories: Blaster rifle, and short blaster. They both can be pegged into the right thigh, so he can store one there and hold the other. The left hand doesn't hold either gun very well, it has a rather loose fit.Articulation: Swivel-hinged head, shoulders, elbows, wrists; Ball-jointed torso; Hips hinge forward, backward, and outwards; Swivel thighs; Double-hinged knees; Ankles hinge and rock. The bend in the elbows are very limited, with a roughly 45 degree bend. It's not very good for two-handed blaster poses. I carefully trimmed the bottom edge at the bicep to allow for more movement.I really like this armor design, and the figure portrays it very nicely. Unfortunately the limited elbow bend hinders two-handed blaster poses, but despite that I would still recommend it.

Excellent First Order Stormtrooper Figure
I'm not a collector but after doing a few figure reviews I'm starting to feel like one. Anyways, the figure looks great. It has all the fine detail that the original trilogy Stormtrooper from the black series had but it also has a glossy paint job opposed the the other Stormtroopers matte finish. The glossy finish goes a long away at making this figure look great. The sculpt here is really pretty impressive as well. The detailed lines on every piece of armor is done very nicely, especially on the helmet. For the price of this figure, I'm really impressed with the look. The articulation is ok. If you're familiar with the Black Series Original Trilogy Stormtrooper articulation, then this is similar but slightly lacking compared. It seems to be on a basic ball joint for the helmet. It rotates as you would expect but has limited up or down movement where as the other figure was able to look up and down as well as move back and forth on the body for better posing. The shoulders seem to be on a similar ball joint with a pivot joint and rotate pretty freely although a little stiff as well as moving up and down. The shoulder movement is a little more movable compared because this figures shoulder armor doesn't hinder the arm from aiming up as much. The bicep on the original trilogy Stormtrooper rotated and this figure does not have that same articulation. This is a little disappointing considering how much more movement it has because of it compared to this figure. The elbow is fortunately a ball and pivot joint that allows all the expected movement and the wrist seems to have this as well.Like the other figure, there is no waist rotation outside of the torso joint which seems to be a ball pivot as well. It rotates and moves nicely with the armor so the lack of waist rotation isn't missed much. The upper leg seems to have a ball and pivot joint but the movement is fairly hindered by the armor and the belt. Your storm trooper won't do the splits but will be able to pose in a variety of combat positions. The knee seems to be two pivot joints allowing somewhat natural movement from the knee. The foot has a ball pivot and allows for a lot of movement from the feet to an almost unnatural level if you're so inclined. I like this kind of articulation in the feet because it allows for posing the figure in many different stances and positions without the need of a stand. The weapons look pretty good but not great. The addition of white and silver to the black adds a little more detail to both the rifle and the hand blaster but they seem a little uninspired beyond the color. They look good enough and match the rest of the Stormtrooper if you don't pay too much attention to them. I like the Revoltech figure weapons but you do spend at least twice as much on their figures.I had to take one star away because the removal of some of the articulation that has been here in previous figures. It is not a huge deal and may have added to the armor looking better in the end but I also took the score down just a bit more because the paint could have been a little cleaner. The paint on my other stormtrooper was just about flawless whereas there are a few places around the belt, the knee, and the helmet that could have been better.I have this figure pictured with the Black Series Original Trilogy Storm Trooper, a Revoltech R2D2, and the Revoltech Boba Fett. The scale seems to match fairly well across the two lines of figuresOverall I really like this figure. It looks really good and is pretty capable of posing in a lot of different ways. It looks great on the desk and is a great figure for any Star Wars fan or anyone getting excited for the Force Awakens. For the price I am more than satisfied and can easily recommend this figure.

Great Detailed Figure, Holds Up As Well As it Looks
I use my toys for product photography and can say that this figure has held up to the amount of mud, water, and sand I've put it through. The plastic is shiny but not reflective, making it great for toy photos or a collector's shelf. One nice thing about the Black Series figures is that they do hold up, so if you're buying it to play with, you shouldn't have an issue. The blasters are pretty rubbery, but those can be easily replaced or painted.Box, figure, and accessories were in great condition. Good for kids or collectors.(if you want to see more shots, search @thecorrellpulse on Instagram)

Must-have for any collector, just amazing!
This figure looks so cool, lifelike and close to the movie (at least the bits we've seen so far) it's almost ridiculous! It is just a must have for any imperial or clone trooper fan.It seems like the articulation (especially arm movement) has declined a bit compared to the original trilogy 6 inch stormtrooper figures and the blasters will easily fall out of the leg 'holster', but those are really minor complaints considering the awesome poses you can put this guy in.Maybe wait a while to purchase one though, until the price drops, pretty sure they'll be more widely available in the coming weeks or months.

Sehr gute Figur
