After reading some of the horror stories in reviews on less expensive nets, I decided to pay the extra bucks for what seemed to be a superior product. I have had my net now about a month and am very pleased with it. I was able to set it up quite easily by myself. The frame is made of light spring steel which is the perfect combination of light weight and rigidity. The hanging target buckles, as it is supposed to, when the balls hits it and neatly drops them so that they are easily retrieved. The few balls that miss the target are easily stoped by the net. I have had a couple of badly skyey tee shots get over it so you would probably want to stand as close as possible to it,especially when hitting lofted clubs. It is supported by 2 metal poles unlike cheaper models that apparently use PVC and are prone to breakage. While it is reasonably easy to take down and store I don't think you would want to do this on a daily basis. Nonetheless I did not want to leave it standing and subject it to all the deterioration of rain and sun. Setting up in a shady area solves the sun problem and when rain is forecast I simply remove the 2 steel poles, collapse it flat on the ground and cover it with a plastic tarp weighted on the edges by rocks or boards. There are a few very minor problems. The target tends to billow up on windy days making it less useful and on one day with 40 mile plus gusts the net itself blew over. The metal spikes at the ends of the 2 supporting poles that go into the ground could be 3 or 4 inches long instead of the 1 too 1 and 1/2 inches. Being so short they have a tendency to pull ot of the ground. Aso, the metal hold down spikes, that are appx 4 inches long, have a tendency to twist and thus release the hold down tabs. All of these are minor problem and constitute no real hazard and little or no nuisance.

For some interesting reason, some reviewers suggest that it's best for two persons to set-up this practice net. I don't understand; I've got an injured foot, and I got it up alone in about 8 minutes the very first time (and that included reading the instructions). Took about 5 minutes to take it down. As to the net, it's large enough to practice full swings with just about any club, assuming the common sense to move closer as the clubs get higher. The net adequately stops all of my hit balls without any apparent wear, and the quality appears good. I imagine that a beginner could have problems with shanks and continually missing the hanging target, but it seems even a reasonably experienced duffer would not have much trouble hitting the target which no doubt will assist in keeping undue wear down. The net is a little heavy, and hauling it back and forth takes some energy, but leaving it up Summer afternoons is not an option in my location due to afternoon thunderstorms. The stakes are a little wimpy, but that's easily cured. The net is substantial but flexible, and thus far is serving its purpose very well. This net is, of course, primarily meant for outdoors (or maybe a garage) due to its height. If you are serious about practicing your swing at home and you have the yard, this is a good, sensible alternative to driving to the range for swing practice (although it can't replace range practice as part of a well rounded practice regimen). There's no substitute to hitting real balls with real swings carrying real club speed.Update: I've now had this net for over a year, and it is still in almost new condition and working for me as if it were new. I try to practice hitting at least 75 balls a day when I have time, and my ball striking has improved greatly. Matched with a quality mat (with additional padding underneath and attached to my lanai), I can practice everything from wedges, short irons, long irons, hybrids, woods, to driver (being careful to move the net closer to or further from the mat depending on the club). For me, this has been a great purchase.

I've had this product for about 3 months and in my opinion is the best practice net for ease of use and features. This net sets up with one person. Others can be set up with one person, but with much greater difficulty. This net, made by Izzo, is their best yet. Some of the other nets are so difficult to set up,you tend not to take them down- even if your not using it, which shortens the life of the netting. The Quad Net doesn't take up as much space front to back as some of the other comparable sized nets either and the 8' opening is plenty big enough for any golfer. I highly recommend this net.Pros: Easy set up. Great ball return feature that moves the balls to the front edge of the net for easy collection. Has a smaller footprint than comparable sized nets.Cons: A bit pricier than most others.AMENDED:Oct 26, 2010It has been over a year since I purchased this net, and I will only add that the quality and durability is not surpassed. This product has held up well and should be part of your practice tools. It is the easiest net to set up, and with a little practice, is the easiest to disassemble. Yes it is expensive, but in my opinion, you do get what you pay for in this case.

Once the instructions were found in the pocket of the bag, setup of the net went very quickly. Built my own astroturf mat from some outdoor green carpet and a 4x8 thick plywood for a cost of $45 including a second replacement carpet. Hitting off of this, I am able to hit up to an 8 iron without much concern. I will try my 9 and up when I take it out to the ball field at the school. For a point of reference, I tend to hit very high lofted shots. I have had no issues with the net and have learned how to pack it back up. The first attempt took about 10 minutes with the instructions in order to get it to fold back down. Now, it only takes about 3 minutes to completely pack it. With the local range costing $15 a bucket of balls, I expect this net to pay for itself within the year.

Shocked that the netting developed a hole after no more than a few hundred shots.Fortunately the ball just hit the chainlink fence behind the net. Very dangerous.I’m not a pro by any means, club head speed is between 70-100mph - so the net should have easily withstood the force.Perhaps the net I received is faulty in some way. Will be looking to get a refund.Looks phenomenal otherwise, but just too bad the net cannot stop golf balls.

Perfect net for indoor or outdoor use. I use mine in the garage. It fits perfectly for my practice regimen. Very good value.

The stand and net are good quality but the the target started to break within an hour of use so that piece was low quality. We bought some sawdust tarp to replace it with.

Set up and take down can be done in a few minutes.Net works great. Not running around to pick up balls theygather nicely in the bottom of the net.
