Used a charcoal BBQ l for years but after using this would not go back. The side burner is great for heating up sauce or boiling potatoes etc. Looked at several different ones but had used this make/model for a couple of weeks in a holiday let and bought one as soon as we returned home. Very easy to set up and use and also to clean afterwards. We line the drip tray with foil and just change it now and then which cuts down on the cleaning and the upper parts come clean with just a wipe after soaking in washing up liquid. The heat is even throughout the surface and its good that you can choose how many burners to use. Absolutely love it.

You need at least 2 spanners and maybe 3 because one nut hard to get at if using an adjustable spanner. Also a slim screwdriver preferable magnetised and with a flexible stem as some tiny nuts in very difficult to reach places. Ignore instructions on fitting gas pipe from side ring to main bbq. Just put the nut on the pipe with as few turns as possibe and turn gently until the screw holes for the burner control roughly lime up. I then sellotaped the backing ring to the control in place, used a wooden skewer in one screw hole and that made it easier to align the first screw. After that lot is in then tighten the pipe nut. Any other way and you are mighting a big spring.Only fault i found was a tiny bit of flimsiness in the left hand extension at the front where it has pulled away slightly.But cooking a dream and seems like cleaning also. Wonderful first meals of prawns and grilled veg. Taste as good as charcoal without all the kerfuffle of charcoalWe are going to enjoy using this

I did quite a lot of research and chose this as it appeared to be the best bbq for the money with biggest cooking area and benefit of added side ring and underneath storage area. Do note that there is go gas regulator supplied. I used the one from my old bbq. I am very satisfied with the product albeit just after one use... a garden party for 25 people and there was plenty of cooking space, up to 12 burgers cooking at a time with warming rack for a similar number of sausages. Product arrived well package, was simple enough to assemble, albeit I am an engineer and DIY-Friendly. It really is robust and of good quality. It is worth splashing out for a good sized cover unless you plan to wheel it indoors after each use.

We should have paid more attention to the descriptions and dimensions before purchasing. On the pictures here, it looks like a full sized BBQ with sturdy cast iron grill, and everything included. Just what we wanted to replace our old one. HOWEVER, as you start assembly, you soon realise that it is made of flimsy metal sheet. Only when you have the whole thing constructed do you realise that it is tiny. The cooking surface is less than 80cm high (over 12cm lower than a full sized BBQ). The other proportions are similarly disappointing. The sturdy looking grill is actually more metal sheet, pressed to give the impression of thick metal. To add insult to injury, there is no Gas hose or fitting with the unit, although there are pictures of one included. I would have returned it, but I'd spent over 2 hours putting it together and we had guests on their way. On it's first outing, no one wanted to cook on it, but at least everyone had a good laugh at my expense. As it is likely to fall apart within 2 or 3 years, this embarrassment will be short lived.Unless you are very small in stature or love disappointment, I'd avoid this one.

I actually normally VonHaus products but this grill had a few problems that caused me to down grade. Nothing big or special but didn’t think I should get these problems. I had a number of ‘bosses’ on the grill that were bent and I had to straighten them up to allow me to get a bolt through. A number of bolts still had metal in the head so I couldn’t get a screwdriver (cross or flat head) into the head to turn the screw. I thankfully had some similar screws and on one occasion I had to tap a hole again to fit a different bolt I had to use. A number of the flame covers are bent in different ways and don’t sit over the notches on the grill to cover the grill. The grill itself seems fine, quite hot though, I have to run it at the lowest setting as it was burning everything on my first attempt while the centres were still raw. I’m still getting used to it though so hopefully I don’t have those problems again. Generally seems an OK grill for nice and quick grilling needs just a number of annoying and silly issues in assembly that shouldn’t have occurred

Actually quite easy to put together, needs 2 people though. Well made and none of the annoying misalignments you sometimes get with mass produced flat packs.Hardest bit it connecting the gas regulator! Doesn’t come with one so need to buy.Make sure you tighten the gas main gas valve with a wrench.Easy to clean.Cooking area is really very big. As ‘charcoal people’ really happy with for our first gas BBQ

High quality parts in this BBQ with easy to assemble instructions. Unfortunately the doors were too short but my husband adapted the hinges to fit.
