Works Great!
This is a very nice mold. It's big, and it does get hot when pouring all four cavities at once. So you have to pace yourself. The sinkers in the attached photo were made with this mold pouring all four cavities each time, using a Lee production pot with a pour valve on the bottom. After the lead was fully melted and up to temperature, and the mold was pre-heated by resting on top of the lead pot, it took just over an hour to make them, giving the mold a chance to cool off between pours after the first couple of pours. The mold closes tight and requires minimal pressure to stay closed while being filled. It does take a bit for the 5 oz sinker to solidify as I discovered upon opening the mold too soon! That one went back in the pot!

Big Money Saver
Wish bullets were this easy to cast. If you do salt water off the bottom, this handy little item will save you allot of money. It makes quality sinkers the same as you would purchase in a store. Be sure to clean and carbon the mold with a candle. Once you get it to temp you should also lube thee joints and pins with beeswax. In the time it took to watch a movie I made enough sinkers for a family of 6 to go surf fishing and never worry about the expense of losing sinkers.
