Close Coupling Kit for WC Toilet Pan Cistern Doughnut Fixings Plate Donut

The donut washer was a good fit and the kit was held by the flush unit washer. Took seconds to easily fit that part. The bolts, however, took a bit longer as they come out of the jaws too easily when doing the nuts up. Sealed well, holds the cistern in place without movement and is inexpensive. Overall, a simple purchase I can recommend.

Not so universal but did the job. Rubber doughnut does not fit all!

Had to take off cistern from close-coupled WC. This was a good quality replacement at the join point. A sensible price.

This is a donut fitting for a close cupeled toilet cistern, was easy to fit as a close cupelled cistern can be.You can use silicon on the matting surfaces of the donut if you wish to belt and braces if you like.Note as you have to take the cistern apart it is a good idea to change the plastic diaphragm in the syphon if your changing the donut because its started to leak ! Also if you are fitting a new close cupeled cistern I would advise that the syphon to be fitted is a "Dudley" type which when the diaphragm splits/fails this type of syphon allows you to do this without the faff of dismantling the whole unit and only takes a quarter of the time, I feel that all new close cupeled systems should be fitted with this type of syphon (Dudley) as it saves time and waste.

It's OK but better kits have rubber washers not just metal ones - you should use Plumber's Mait or rubber washers (not supplied) with these if you don't want to risk breaking the ceramic pan when you tighten the wing nuts. Some kits even include conical rubber washers to seat the screws centrally with the mounting holes in the pan - and I went with one of those kits. This kit was shown as "Frequently Bought Together" with a 60mm valve but, as the hole is 58mm it would have been no good for that so I returned it.
