Perfect for loose tea
I bought this in January of 2021 and have been using it almost daily for 2 years. The lid strainer works perfectly with loose tea, keeping it from coming through the spout. The insulation of the tumbler is top notch, keeping my Pu'erh tea hot for hours and hours. It's easy to clean as all the parts come out and the gasket is very durable, enabling you to clean it many times.A couple reviews mention the acrylic finish being fragile. It's not fragile. However, it's not meant to be banged around, jostling for hours in your car cup holder, falling off your desk onto a wood floor, rolling down your driveway, being batted around by your adorable Vizsla, or dropped in your stainless steel sink repeatedly. My white tumbler shows a chip here and there from abuse, but that's normal. The bottom shows alot more wear because of the constant friction with tables, rocky surfaces, stadium bleachers, etc.Zojirushi makes the best insulated drinking vessels. They are light and durable and the insulation unbeatable.

Satisfied Purchase
Bought this because of its removable stainless steel mesh tea leaf strainer, which you seldom find in other insulated tumblers in the market. I love how the lid can also be disassembled for thorough cleaning. The insulation is just as good as my other Zojirushi bottle, keeping my coffee and tea hot for hours.Because of the great insulation, if you pour in boiling hot water into the tumbler for tea brewing, do not sip directly from the lid, because it is VERY HOT. And the lid is not totally leak proof, as you can tell from the lid design, so do not put it in your bag.I am very satisfied with my purchase! Zojirushi makes the best insulated products with no doubt. It is a good tumbler at home/ school/ office. I will definitely recommend this to everyone who is looking to buy a tumbler.

Quality product with a slightly fussy lid
If you like precision, well-made products you will like this tumbler. The main body is flawlessly finished, perfect paint, bare matte stainless lining. I understand what they were going for with the lid but it is maybe not quite there. My main negative is for the difficulty in cleaning, the lid just has a few too many pieces (3 plus the gasket, not counting the tea strainer) and sharp angles. I only drink black coffee and it is just hard to get into some of the nooks of the lid to clean the coffee out. I’m not sure if there is a perfect lid (some are too thin and let heat out, some insulate but are even fussier to clean than this one, some are leak proof but inconvenient to drink out of), I’d say this is 90% there. With this semi-double layer lid design it keeps coffee hot for about 3 hours which is as much as I’d hope for.I do like the fact that the body has no threading that would catch stains of dirt. I would love a lidless version for beer.

Nice mug
Decent mug, has nice features and keeps things warm relatively well for something of its design. This is not meant to be put in a backpack or taken on the go as it definitely will leak, but it's a nice mug for the desk or around the house to help keep your drink warm/cold. Minor complaint: the top's turn to open/close can become a sticky at times requiring a lot of force to turn it (feeling like you might break it) especially if you haven't turned it in a while; in general it really doesn't feel great to use

Great for indoor or outdoor use. Just don't put it in your backpack or in a loose bag it can spill.
Another great product. It kept my beverage hot for hours. The lid keeps a tight seal. Twist the top to open and drink. Easy to take apart lid to clean and I enjoy the removable strainer when I drink tea. The tumbler is great for home, office or car. Don't put it in a bag where it can tilt on it's side, it will leak.

Perfect
Zojirushi knows something that no other thermal mug or carafe maker does. Or else its actually magic. Hot coffee kept in this mug is STILL hot the next day - and I mean HOT. Yet the outside of the cup is cool to the touch. Easy to hold, simple & attractive, easy to drink out of and doesnt drip. The perfect travel mug.

The fragile exterior coating was the deal breaker for me.
I used the white tumbler for a day. The acrylic coating showed signs of wear far too early. I already noted a couple spots of dry erase red marker on it that wouldn't wash off. Some signs of wear at the bottom edges set in, despite my gingerly placement of the cup on my wood table, but came out w/repeated handwashing. It seemed too tempermental for the carefree experience I wanted as a daily coffee cup. The lid is also a little over-engineered for me as I barely ever drink loose-leaf tea. This cup is excellent for someone who is looking for a built-in strainer. Compared to the 20oz Yeti Rambler, this would be lighter and easier to hold as its capacity is only 15oz, but Yeti lid is simpler and easier to clean. The Zojirushi lid is also less leak resistant than the Yeti Rambler lid.I was looking for something easier to clean than my Zojirushi 20oz travel mug that I use everyday for coffee. The downfall of that mug is that it retains heat so well that I always have to decant my coffee into a simple mug. I think the Yeti Rambler will fulfill my use case better than this Zojirushi Tumbler.Edit: nevermind on the Yeti. It's too big and heavy, and the lid isn't so useful. The Fellow Carter Move 16 oz mug is the best for me. Still able to hold it by one hand, it's a very enjoyable hot beverage drinking experience.
