Wolo(HS-2) Horn Button Switch Kit, Chrome

Several negative reviews had me a bit concerned but like others, ordered it anyway. After checking the amp rating I didn't use a relay of any type. Came off of the boat battery positive and negative, ran positive wire through this switch then to positive on horn and it works great! My grandson loves the sound of this horn and holds the button in for several seconds at a time with no issues of any heating of wiring or horn base. Used 14 gauge wiring from battery to switch and to horn, didn't use the wiring that came with the Wolo Button, looked to be rather small for the amperage of the horn I purchased. Mine was not Gold in color as shown, it is silver.

Worked great. This is all you need to bypass your horn. Look on the back of packaging- use your car's built in relay and fuse. See pictures for example: I cut the wire after finding the right length. One line goes to the relay in the engine fuse box. The other I wrapped around a nice bolt on the side panel fuse box for the ground- this is critical, if your ground connection is poor the horn will not work!Then both are screwed in to the back of the horn button with the provided wire connectors. I recommend stripping all the ends for good connections.Finally, screw it into the dash!

It's a good button to install a dixie horn, or any other kind of special effect horns. Very easy to install, only need to drill a hole through where ever you wish to mount, feed the wire through and use the 2 screws on back of the button to install the ground and power wire. Two screws, or bolts hold in the button where ever the desired mount is; however, the button is pretty bulky. I believe there could be a better, slimmer, design for the button.

This is the second time I purchased this item and both are working great the price is right and easy to install.

I made sure I checked all the available horn buttons to insure I got the one I wanted. I found this one with a picture of an installed horn button on the dash of a vehicle. It was obviously the larger version in the picture. I needed to know that the button I ordered was one of the larger versions (about the size of a silver dollar). I was adamant that I get this larger button, not a smaller version. What did I get? the smaller one! (about the size of a nickel). Even the wire was a different color than the one in the ad (I got red instead of the beige wire advertised on the site). The one I got will work fine, it's just that a person gets tired of false advertising and knowing that about 90% of the time he is going to be ripped off. With shipping and handling I paid considerably more than I thought the item was worth. And that wouldn't be so bad if I had gotten what I bargained for... but I didn't. Shame on the seller!

Took a little while to understand instructions. I had a basic change to operate in my lawn tractor, and it worked perfect. It really sounds good. When I tested it, it woke up a few neighbors, but it's OK. The yellow wire screwed a little. It didn't exist. I went 30 to batt, 85 to button, 86 jump to 30, and 87 to horn, 2 grounds and a visible link on 30 to battery. Thanks,Len
