Residential/Light Commercial Door Closer, w/Hold Open, Brown

LOVE these - work great on thin antique wooden doors with glass - quiet - strong - easy to install

Trying to adjust for the right closing speed was nearly impossible at first. Now after a few months of use, it is impossible.Depending on exactly how far the door is open when you let it go to close automatically - the door *might* close... or it might close 99% - but not latch shut. So you have to stand there and wait to see if the door closed completely. This pretty much defeats the whole purpose of buying an automatic door closer.

Easy installation, I got the one with the hold open option and love it. Door stays open when you want and a gentle touch starts it closing. The closing speed is adjustable as well

Now that I've had this 4 months we have grown accustomed to opening the door. Love that the door is never left open especially with the heat on now. And in summer air conditioning did not go into the hallway. Still wish it were easier to open but overall two thumbs up. 4.5 starsIt is much harder to open the door now. I was hoping for a closer that would be easy to open like a screen door closer. My door without the closer opened and closed very easy. Although the close part of it is great, the open part is real hard for a six year old and my neighbor actually commented on how hard it was to open the door. So took 1 stars off for that. Still it does work flawlessly. They need one that is compliant with ADA

Have had two of these. Both broke within a year.

It solved our problem of slamming doors at the house. It also helped with us leaving the door wide open by accident. The only issue is that I'd like to know if the 'hold' function can be disabled. We have it installed on 3 doors now and this particular one doesn't require the 'hold' function. I know I could've bought the 'non-hold' model, but I wasn't sure at the time whether I'd require it or not. Anyway, just a small detail, no big deal.Bottom line, tough enough to control the door, small enough for home use. Easy to install. Great product!ps. This brown color matched great with our wooden front door.

Excellent product. Door now closes quietly and securely every time. I especially like the hold open feature.
